Mbah Moute & Bowen to Boston?

Post#1 » by No1CeltsFan » Thu Jul 16, 2009 1:20 am

According to my Twitter update from Celtics Buzz Tap and Loy's Place, Ainge has been talking trade w/Milwaukee for Mbah a Moute and Bowen for Pruitt and Scal.

I would love this. Mbah a Moute is a real solid young player who can play the 2, 3 and 4 positions. Obviously we know what we'd get in Bowen.

Do it Danny!!!

If there is anything to this... like at all, that would be amazing!

lets see if anything else comes out about this, would have to get some idea from Bucks fans on how the front office values Mbah a Moute, as really... Scal and Pruitt doesnt do much for them

Oh, and what are the 2 twitter usernames out of curiousity?

Well they can just cut Pruitt and save a little bit of money.

But I'm a big Mbah a Moute fan from the little I've seen of him in the NBA. Definitely has a professional body for a SF and Bowen would be a good mentor to all of our young wing players. Prince Moute could even defend hybrid PF's too I imagine. Seems like he's a legit 6'8".

he plays more of the 4 for Milwaukee. When we played them he covered Baby, Powe, Ticket and PP.

I imagine Bucks fans will shoot this down in flames, probably expect our 2010 1st, if at all.

The Prince of Cameroon can't hit the J, but he's a nice utility player. Bowen would be a nice fire extinguisher to break in case of playoffs. I'd do that trade, but I'd rather get Moon.

lol they can shoot it down all they want, as long as their GM dont.

Honestly, if they need our 2010 1st to get it done, would you stop that as a deal breaker? I wouldn't. I mean you gotta figure it's going to be 1 of the last 3 picks in the 1st Round, if not the last.

Mbah a Moute alone is worth a 2010 1st round pick IMO

Just read the link. Thanks for posting.

If Moute and Bowen are option A and Moon is option B then Ainge and Co. are really on top of their games this summer. Very good news if true IMO.

i concur.

I have faith in Ainge. They understand what the window is.

I have faith in atleast knowing he is doing everything realistically possible for us to win. If something doesn't happen, I'm sure it's not for lack of trying on Ainge's part.

Mbah a Moute is a pretty classic SF, he isn't a PF even if MIL played him there, he is absolutely a classic Doc type player.

The trade is pretty awful for the Bucks. I mean I guess they may just be cutting Bowen and may not have mins for Moute but damn Scal and Pruitt?

no way they get a future first for there second round draft pick who doesn't play any offense at all; this trade doesnt make too much sense as we could of had mbah moute ahead of walker and giddens last year if we wanted him; and bowen will likely be bought out

why give up scal and the guy with the best shot at being our backup point guard next year for this?

it would only make sense if we then swing another trade involving some combination of ta, giddens, and walker

we would be getting two excellent defenders though, moute can definitely defend the 2 and 3 positions; but then again were't walker's and gidden's strengths supposed to be on the defensive side of the ball

Absolutely you do this deal if true. Not a deal breaker either but, our PG position would look REALLY THIN... I mean, Rondo. And that's it. Hudson I guess... Definitely need SOMEONE in FA.

Get it done Danny!

Milwaukee might very well be interested in any deals that save them money, and this one does cut a little bit- about half a million this season.

Mbah Moute didn't even attempt a 3pter last year. He is a decent player. But, I believe Pruitt could have put up decent numbers on a bad Bucks team last year. Bowen is ok but pretty old. I am ok with this deal. But, I dont think its that bad for Milwaukee. Pruitt could be decent for them.

Er....What would likely be the 27th-30th pick this coming year for what was the 37th pick last year.

we could of had mbah moute ahead of walker and giddens last year if we wanted him

Giddens yes, Walker no.

Just read the original twitter: Apparently Bowen can't be traded in a deal like this until August 23rd.
