Re: summer fun: fantasy draft contest - wabber on the clock

Post#161 » by fatlever » Thu Jul 16, 2009 1:56 pm

Copying Wabbers style (you guys are so creative).

"st8 up derogatory" selects 2008 NBA Finals MVP and 2009 All-Star Paul Pierce. Paul and Carmelo represent the thug type attitude this team seeks in players. nothing is more intimidating than playing against a guy who has been stabbed 11 times and flashes gang signs during games. We feel Paul and Carmelo can be the upstoppable one, two scoring punch that drives all NBA champiosnsip teams, slashing through defenses like a knife, gunning down opponents w/ ease. We were reluctant to use up or All-star category so soon, but felt Paul represented tremendous value at this point in the draft.

when you are at it fat, e4 has Deron as non-allstar (not as all star as in the first post with rosters). Simply because he wasn't play in any.

With my second pick I select:

Andris Biedrins
Image
note: the man on the ladder is 6'4, Andris is MASSIVE

Is there a more underrated player in the league? even with Nellie's horrible anti-center prejudice Andris has managed to put up great numbers, playing on a more traditional team (one where 6'5 SG's won't steal his minutes at C) will only push him further into the stratosphere as a player. Still only 22, Biedrins will only grow under a real coach. (hopefully there is a real coach available later to draft)

for now, I'll put him in "Euro born"

Al Jefferson for 13 I think never played in an allstar game

Good pick, I would've taken Jefferson but he didn't fit into any of my available categories.....
