Any 1 Player...

I saw this topic in another thread, I think it might have been under the Cavs forum.

Anyway, if you could add any single player, from any team currently in the NBA, regardless of age or future concerns - only worrying about who gives you the best shot at a championship this upcoming year, who would it be?

At first I started thinking about big men, but then I started going back to the dreamy SSOL days. Last week I had prayed both the Matrix and our FO would have a change of heart and Marion would just magically appear in a Suns uniform. Even thought to myself how nice it would be to add Joe Johnson back to the lineup, even with our current roster.

Nash // JJ // Hill // Amare // Frye

Point being, I found myself taking back players that were once on the Suns, already a part of the team, rather than the common answer of a Kobe or D-Wade. It's truly beyond a shame that we weren't able to keep it together. If we could just have one more run with that current group of guys, even at their age now, I think it would finally bring PHX that chip.

So many options, there isn't any one, or even 50, correct answers. But who would you most like to see in a Suns uniform?

I'd say Marcus Camby would be a great pickup if we could package some sort of deal with JRich and another player for Camby and another player to make salaries match.

yah, joe johnson would be huge. i loved the way he played, he took pressure off nash, had a nice jumpshot, and become my hero when we had the series against the mavs i think - he broke his nose/head or whatever and came back and we won the series.

i´d love to see danny manning in his prime in our uniform...

Do you guys FORGET how disgusting it was to watch Diaw after he got paid? Do you all just have 3 year amnesia of watching him drive the lane and instead of dunking and kick it out to the 3 point line with a craptastic pass?

Really guys?

I understand missing a legit backup PF that can play multiple positions, but I DONT understand those who want it to be diaw again.

Maybe you forget how well he played in the season after he got paid before his injury. He was playing extremely well and was very important to the team's success. Once he returned from his injury D'Antoni had replaced him with James Jones in the starting line up and the chemistry just wasn't the same after. Or maybe you forget how well he played against San Antonio two years ago in the playoffs. Saying that Diaw got lazy and didn't try hard after his contract is misunderstanding his situation with the team once Amare returned from his surgery. To understand how good of a player Boris is just reference how well he played once he was traded to Charlotte. Yes Boris was overpaid but he was also mishandled by the coaching staff. I personally feel that Boris is just the kind of player that thrives in this type of system, if he is used correctly.
