Siler has impressed me. He's a big guy but Hoiberg said he lost a lot of weight already in just the last month or so. He seems like he will be motivated to get into the best shape possible in order to play. Although his conditioning does not seem to be very good right now, he plays hard. He doesn't look lazy out there like a Eddy Curry. He has grabbed some boards, had some nice put backs, and he knows where to be. At times Flynn has made him look pretty good. He changes shots more than anyone else and he gets a few blocks. I think he's the best big we have on the team. He and Pech are the only 6'8"+ players that have stood out to me so far.

Looking at the roster, should we view Thomas & Songaila versus Pecherov & Silas? The way I see it, if we want to run, we'll need rebounding when it comes to big men off the bench. The real dark-horse that could turn out to be real interesting is Pecherov and his ability to hit the 3 ... if he can get up and down the floor, rebound, trail and hit a 3-pointer off the swing pass, we're in business.

I don't think Silas has any chance of making the team. We'd have to buy someone out and that would just be a waste of money.

It will be interesting to see how the minutes are divvied up for Pecherov/Songalia/Thomas. I have a sense that Thomas is going to get a lot less minutes than I first imagined after the trade.

I'm in agreement with Calinks that Flynn has made Silas look good. To me, he does ok against the other Summer Leaguers that don't really have a chance in the league but I really don't see him being able to succeed against actual NBA caliber competition. I appreciate the effort I just don't see it happening.

The wolf's fans didn't think that much of Salir after one or two games. But this is what they thought about him after four or five

It would be nice if we get him on the D-league team. If he trims down to maybe 275-280 and picks up a little speed/quickness/conditioning, he could eventually be a bench center.
