This weeks game: USF can't keep up with us. We have too much team speed and we will definetly score a ton. I don't think they have what it takes to keep up with us.
lmao.

No, they wouldn't have. Aside from the play that actually got Pat White hurt, the Bulls D had WVU on lockdown.
Rich Rodriguez should've made adjustments to his gameplan, and started running the ball downhill. One of USF's few weaknesses is their Run-D up the middle, but WVU did not take advantage of that whatsoever.
Slaton and White continued to bring it to the outside, but the Bulls LB corp and secondary had the speed to shut them down time after time.
So, regardless of having White for the latter half of the game, I doubt West Virginia would've come back.
Anyway, being at that game was intense. My seats were a few rows up off the 30, so I had a pretty good spot to watch a great game. Every time the D would make one of the stand-up plays, the place would erupt (especially when the plays were made by Mr. Moffitt).
I wanted to jump on the field once the game was over, but I'm with my dad (who wanted to see the school, since I might be going there next year), so I held back the urge. But, I did get to see Ben Moffitt after the game and congratulate him, that was cool.

gunnabdaschwab--congrats on that great win! I nearly went to USF for grad school, I know that athletic department has to be going crazy right now.
You're very correct about WVU not attacking the Bulls' weaknesses. They didn't even try to go up the middle. I was bitterly disappointed in Slaton too--he didn't break one tackle and never lowered his head to pick up an extra yard. When a team loses its leader like they did when White went down, you need the best player (Slaton) to pick the team up, and he let them down. Granted his coaches didn't give him much of a chance...

I really wish that if they do go undefeated, they'd have a chance to get to the NC, but that schedule is just so incredibly weak. They need a lot of pieces to fall into place if they want to get that far.
And, BTW, both WVU and USF are on my list for schools, but USF is a bit closer to home.

Its not denial. Pat White is one of the best players in country. IF I knew we wouldn't have him, I would have declared this game a loss.
We lost by 8. Sorry but Pat White would have given us enough offense to score more than 1 TD. Slaton, I'm really dissapointed in him because this wasn't the Slaton we're used to seeing and hopefully people don't call him a fraud because hes better than this.

WVU was down by 14 and only managed 0 points in almost 2 quarters when white got injured. USF has WVU number and not surprisingly WVU loses when they play a good team. they didnt exploit opp. weaknesses and coach sucks at making in game adjustments, thus WVU lost to a better team. no need for excuses.

congrats to illnois, they ll be factor in big ten next couple years if not this year. ND with another loss, this was their last chance to get a win until they hit the armed forces, cant say i feel bad for them. Michigan struggled against northwestern but they still have chance to somewhat salvage their season by winning the big ten. Big ten is wide open this season with my buckeyes looking the best team so far but wisconsin, michigan, MSU and purdue has a good chance as well.
On the side note, i want to watch cal-oregon damn it! screw abc.
