Notre Dame should have a QB controversy. Or not, because Evan Sharpley is so clearly superior to Claussen in nearly every aspect. You could see the spring in the step of the team when he played that is visibily missing when Claussen is under center. Purdue left at least 20 points on the field, but credit ND for showing some fight.

I cannot believe Oklahoma--just when I start to believe, they lay a giant egg. I spent the better part of two days this week evaluating Malcolm Kelly and Allen Patrick and got totally infatuated with both of them, can't wait to see this game tape to re-evaluate.

Unfortunately, Cal is starting to look like they won't take advantage of it.

Not any more. Cal wins on a last second Oregon fumble out of the end zone.

Not sure i've seen so many top teams go down on one weekend, starting with West Virginia. Rutgers, Texas, Penn State, Oklahoma.........Loved seeing Kansas State kick Texas' rear end. Ian Campbell and Jordy Nelson are two of the most underrated players in the country. Freeman at the QB spot is the real deal.

Upset weekend for sure. At least 8 ranked teams going down. I have a feeling Ohio State and Florida will be doing the same.

Great weekend for Georgia, though. We may move up into the top 10 after tonight. :D

Well, Wisconsin barely gets past another opponent, this time its 37-34 over Michigan State.

I really don't think they'll be as lucky next week vs. Illinois. The Illini are very very fast, and Arelius Benn proved just how good he is and how good of a recruiter Ron Zook is.

BTW, that hit that Kyle Jefferson took today was the nastiest hit I've seen in my lifetime. And, to see him get up and jog off the field was incredible. I thought for sure he'd be leaving on a stretcher after seeing his head turn around like an owl's.

It would be HUGE if Illinois beats Wisconsin next week.

I am gonna binge drink for two weeks in celebration if that happens. 4th year in Champaign and we are finally relevant on the gridiron.

Won't happen. (If it does, I'll change my avatar to the Illinois logo for a week)

Hopefully Washington and Auburn upset their opponents (looking good so far)

With all the teams that are losing Georgia should move up. You have to love the backs and Matt Stafford keeps growing as a great QB.

No way OSU losing this weekend. With that being said, this week and kent st. week probably the last safe weeks for OSU. Still chances of going unbeaten looking good for now. I cant wait till there s a BCS mess when Big Ten team goes undefeated and couple SEC/Pac-10 teams finish with one loss.

3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11 all lose in the same weekend...

The Big 10 might not be great, but it blows away the Big 12
Buckeyes looked dominating most of the night, and the more I see of Boeckman the more I like him

Hard to believe, but if USC and/or LSU loses a game, South Florida could be playing for a national title. Seriously.

With 35 sec left, UCS still is in jeopardy. If the Huskies can be perfect on an onside kick, then we've got a new ball game.

So much for the 20+ point spread that many odds makers predicted.

edit: The onside didn't work :banghead:

Yeah, sucks it wasn't televised, but I was watching the gamecast and Brown was unstoppable. Great ground game. Stafford did all he needed to do.

I thought Minnesota would put up a better fight, but I had a really good feeling about Auburn. Florida hasn't looked too impressive in a few of their games this year, it was just a matter of time before they were beat down.

Wonder if that near-miss by USC gets LSU to their rightful perch at #1, even though they only played about 1.5 quarters of good football themselves against Tulane?

Cal moves to #3 I assume, but who fills out the rest of the top 10?
I would have:
4. Ohio State
5. Wisconsin
6. BC
7. Kentucky
8. Georgia
9. South Florida
10. Oklahoma
