You have to be on more drugs than Michael Jackson if you believe NO would even consider trading Paul.

If Paul gets traded, I will go to opening night wearing nothing but a green throng and flip flops.
Paul Pierce said it best about Caron Butler and the AS 2007 Game:

"Caron Butler should send me flowers for being injured so he could make the All-Star game, because if I was healthy, he wouldn’t be in there.”

There are about 450 players in the NBA, if you asked any of them this question, you'd get essentially the same answer.

Agreed. This thread is so strange. CP never said he felt that! He simply did not.

We are not getting him. NO is absolutely not trading the best PG in the league.

This is ludicrous.

Though I seriously doubt he could truly be up on the block, I feel as if we can offer them one of the best packages out there centering around Rondo and Ray. They would still be competitive with those two guys, Ray is expiring, and Rondo is a stud young pg.

Never say never. This financial crisis is only going to get worse (in the fall is my prediction) and people will be trying to cut salary and their bad investments (like an NBA team in NO).

If NO trades Paul, the NBA will simply forcibly close the franchise and sell to a team that will move it. That market has been dismal for the league anyway, and Shinn is a notoriously cheap owner. The franchise will NOT survive trading Paul..

It simply does not deserve the bandwidth to discuss..

On a side note, how bummed is Posey right now? He left a championship contender to go to this depressing situation. I know the Hornets were coming off a great year when he signed, but what a disappointment. While Paul is probably untouchable, I could see them actively shopping Chandler, Peja, Posey, and Mo-Pete..

Not bummed at all is my guess. He already has 2 rings which is more than you can say about 95% of the current NBA players. Posey simply went with whoever was going to offer him the most money. I cannot blame him to be honest because the contract he was going to sign was going to be his last chance to get paid well.
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

I don't blame Posey, I'd probably go for the money too. He's not exactly a spring chicken. He had to take the money while it was being offered. That's a lot of retirement money.

 I love how people turn words around. Paul only said what about 99% of players in the league would say. In my opinion, he's only saying he's not too big to be traded. He didn't say he WILL be traded or that his "time in NO could be up". Geez.

"In this league, anything can happen,'' Paul told Pro Basketball News. "I can be dealt. It's possible. It's possible.''

In response Friday, Hornets President Hugh Weber said the possibility of them trading Paul is zero.

"There is no chance of him getting traded,'' Weber said sternly. "I don't know how to say it any stronger, but there is just no deal we would contemplate for Chris. I can't speak for Chris, but I think he was talking about the nature of the business and the fact that the question was asked the way it was.''

Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower said from Las Vegas Friday morning he is investigating many things in regard to free agency and possible trades to improve the roster, but he said trading Paul would not meet any of those objectives.

"I have not nor will I enter any discussions for him,'' Bower said."(Trading Paul) is not going to happen. I think what Chris said just shows his selflessness that he's not different than anyone else on the team.''

I can't believe how people grasp onto this stuff.
