Tough year, but hopeful that he returns healthy in 2010-11. I guess this news wasn't unexpected. Thoughts on the team next year?

I like the moves to make a deep team without giving up any cap space. The young kids will get more time and we will compete every night, but the playoffs are a long shot if we can't move mcgrady for somebody. Either way our future is still pretty bright even if this year is shot. We should be an entertaining team at the very least. We're not locked in to yao after this year, so if it doesn't look good for him, we have money to play with. I'm willing to sacrifice a year if it means a draft pick and giving these young guys a look for future trades or pt.

Hey speaking of hyperbole and disregard for reality and/or facts, have you ever considered a career in politics?

Spurs were hurt last year too......BUT when they are healthy, they can win championships. I just don't see it with this duo. Tmac is too weak mentally and Yao isn't a leader. We could have went to championship status if Tmac would have demanded the ball at "clutch-time" and/or Yao developed some leadership skills and carried the team on his back. None has happened.....

I'm tired of waiting. Let's just run it with our new, young guys and build from there. I'm not even going to say "well if we had yao" and all that other BS. We had him for 8+ years, on and off, and we're still at the same spot. I'm not even going to be excited when he does come back b/c it will, in reality, change nothing other than build up false hope and have them smashed again in a couple of months. What's the point?

Yeah, and even worse than:

1. Zach Randolph and Stephon Marbury
2. Stephon Marbury and Keith Van Horn
3. Stephon Marbury and Kenyon Martin
4. Stephon Marbury and [any other teammate]
5. Jamaal Tinsley and Stephen Jackson
6. Stephen Jackson and Ron Artest
7. The entire '04-'05 Pacers team

I can probably go on and on, but you get the point. Yao and T-Mac are far from "the worst ever" or even the "most disappointing," if that's what you meant to say. I've already mentioned the '04-'05 Pacers, but the '03-'04 Lakers that lost to the Pistons in the finals were disappointing in their own way.

so, what was it he did last season ? Seriously, leadership si about more than scoring 30 a game.
