I'm surprised everyone is ripping on Sean May. I for one would love to see him in P&G and in place of Josh Powell!
Sean May is a proven winner and a guy who played his best in the big moments in college.
As for his injury plagued first 3 years in the league ... if he's healthy, sign him, if he's not, pass on him.
In his rookie year, May put up per-40 averages of 19ppg, 10.9rpg, 1.6spg and 1.2bpg ... those are serious stats people.
In his 2nd year, coming off an injury May put up per 40 averages of 19.9ppg, 11.2rpg and 1.2bpg while shooting 50% from the field and 77% from the line. even averaged 3.2 assits per 40 minutes and had more assists than turnovers (rare for a young big man). Again, those are serious stats people!
Last year May sucked, no doubt about it, but he was coming off an injury, playing hurt and than got hurt again ... I'd say he had a pretty good excuse.
Sean May is a 20/12 guy in this league if he got 40 minutes a night and I have little doubt he could give us a solid 16 minutes a night while averaging 8ppg, 5rpg andshooting over 50% from the field and close to 80% from the like ... that would be a huge improvement over "Jump shooting Josh Powell"!
