The deal with go through on Friday. The delay is due to Stackhouse being waived - which is why he was waived immediately after the Dallas/Orlando/Toronto deal. In the off season it takes 7 days for a player to clear waivers. The Grizz need for Stack's $5 million to be off the books before Z'Bo can be formally brought in. Gotta keep that flexibility open, you know, in case there's a chance for Heisley to make another million or two in nickel dime deals...

So Friday or Saturday morning look for a Clipper deal to be realized and a Grizzlies nightmare to begin

It's all about nickel and diming, which is the exact reason why Dumbleavy did this deal and has yet to sign a FA. Using the economy as an excuse to NOT sign players who could IMPROVE your team? BRILLIANT.

Chris Wallace told yesterday on the radio that the Grizzlies don´t have an agreement with the Clippers for Randolph yet.

You should find the podcast on the homepage and just look for Friday's segment with Wallace - HOWEVER, I believe the verbiage was more along the lines of the deal isn't done - not that there wasn't an agreement. Wallace is big on stating, restating, reiterating that a deal isn't a deal until it's done, called into the league office and certified.

I do have a feeling that the Grizz FO and owner is ticked that the deal leaked out in LA so early. Other than that, the Memphis beat writer has a show in the mornings and was saying again today that the deal done and will be announced Fri or Sat.

It was delayed because of the Stackhouse trade, he has to clear waivers (friday) before the deal with Randolph can happen.
