It's official. Jazz matched Millsaps offer per 1320. It is official. That is all.

I'll better try to work for Hamilton. Redd doesn't bring much of defense. I don't think our offence is bad...

good deal. the way i see it starter Millsap is good enough to be 3rd best player in a contender and he ll be getting paid less than 3rd best players in recent title teams. problem is to find the second wheel next Deron, hopefully Knicks will help out there.

You're still the only one that does. Redd is the definition of a chucker and wouldn't help our offense as much as a player like Hamilton would.

Redd is a allstar shooting guard that can put some time in at the 3. He's a top shooter and you have a top point guard that gets to the bucket. Your definition of a chucker is incorrect. Allen Iverson is a chucker. Micheal Redd is a pure shooter. Redd would be a victorious upgrade at the shooting guard spot. You could argue that this would be the best shooting guard you have had in a decade. Looking at the other offers that have been made public, Redd would be by far the best offer. Im not a Jazz fan. Or a bucks fan. But Micheal Redd is the type of player that would bump this good team up a level. And make them a serious threat. It will also give D-Will a running mate in the back court. A sharp shooter to kick out to. And Redd can cut to the cup and finish. This would take D-Will up a notch also. Playing with that type of shooter will make him much more effective and keep the help defense honest. If Redd was to be offered for boozer +, and your intentions are to get better and win, you have to take that and run. Redd is also a good defender on the perimeter. A chucker? Redd+D-WIll=top 5 back court in the nba.

This is the dumbest thing I've pretty much ever heard....... Redd has the same carrer FG% as Hamilton...... He shoots more because he's asked to score more by his team........

Redd would be perfect in Utah........

I like Redd a lot but I don't think I would be willing to trade Boozer away for an aging and recently injury prone SG with mediocre defense. I rather trade for Bogut then Redd if were going to make a deal with the Bucks. I don't like the idea of trading Boozer away for more guards. If we trade him it should be for a 5,4, or 3.

What's wrong with getting a 2? Having four 4's has been the Jazz' problem for the last 4 years. With Millsap in place, and Okur/AK to rotate in to back him up, there is no need for another power forward. The Jazz need to get a combo guard or a legitimate 2 to pair up with Deron in the backcourt.

If they can get a shot-blocking 5 or a 3 who can shoot, fine. But a good shooting wing would go a long way towards balancing out the talent on the roster. Another 4 would just continue to clog things up in the frontcourt.

...anyways

lmao at millsaps **** agent(s).

"It's a relief, in a sense," Ara Vartanian, one of Millsap's representatives, said of the decision.

"We know Paul fits in well with the way coach (Jerry) Sloan coaches," Vartanian added, "so there's no mystery or question to it, so we're excited about it."

Your comparing Bogut to D-wade?.......

Who exactly are you going to trade for to upgrade at the 2? Hamilton isn't going to work since Detroit is longer interested (not to mention his contract and age) and Redd is getting old and becoming more and more injury prone (Bucks are not interested anyways). Who is willing to trade their 2 guard that is an upgrade over Korver or Brewer? Unless you can pry Hinrich from the Bulls or Lee from the Nets there isn't anyone on the interested teams that is an upgrade at the 2 and I doubt you are getting either of those guys. There just isn't any 2 guards that we could get that interest me much.

If you look at the 3's, 4's, and 5's on the interested teams its much more likely those are the players you are going to land. We need a backup C or defensive C and if we can land a young talent or solid veteran 4 to play good solid backup minutes that wouldn't hurt either.

No on Redd. Far too injury prone for that kind of money.

So they arent interested in trading Redd, but they WOULD be interested in trading Bogut???

Of course not...that was my point.

Never said they would be I was merely saying I would try for Bogut if they showed interest over Redd.
