Nick is killing right now. Very impressed with the catch and shoot. And he's playing much better defense on Flynn than Critt is.

Wow...Nick with the rebound and assist...

It's funny now, but I wonder what it would be like if Stewie got the most improved player and even Etan had a bounce back year.

JWIz, that's not directed at you and not even what I think might happen....

But what if it DOES happen? :-?

You worry too much. You need a vacation. May I suggest Montego Bay this time of year.

if we can get a decent big for crittenton i say we trade him with the quickness. the guys defense against quick point guards is horrible.
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Well just finished watching the game on demand. Flynn was unreal. Crit and Rice were dominated. You're not getting a big for Crittenton. He's a third point guard right now behind Gil and Foye. Maybe behind Mike James. He just let a rookie abuse him all day long and well, he didn't get much help. This is the Wizards.

About the game. When Edwards is getting that much time (with Javale sitting out), Heytfelt is a goner. His defense is atrocious. He just doesn't do enough on the offensive end to make up for his lack of defensive IQ. Seems a step late in everything he does. That doesn't mean he won't get better. But if the Wiz are playing for now, he's not making the team. Neither is Aminu, who I like. He's just kind of tweener right now. Too light to be a center. Too light to really be a power forward but I like his willingness to mix is up.

Blatche was simply awful as mentioned in previous posts, until the four quarter. Was very frustrated so started making stupid mistakes like taking a rebound and dribbling into a crowd instead of using something called, hmm, I don't know how use say, an "OUTLET PASS". Not sure what that is, but I do remember Wes Unseld starting fastbreaks with a simple chest pass.

Hopefully Blatche sits out and cools down tomorrow. Still need to see more Heytvelt. He got benched in the second quarter and was never to be seen again. He needs to get at least a half with them playing 3 games in 3 days.

Forgot to mention the guy doing PBP was simply obnoxious. WTF. So you're a T-Wolves fans. Just slobbering over Flynn all game. I thought he was going to get on the court and well...this is a family board. I've heard the guy before and he's usually ok for summer league but talk about unprofessionalism. I wouldn't expect to hear Buck slobber over the Wiz if he did one of these games.

Positive note on Blatche. Sucking and he was going into his usual flameout foul out frustration routine, but the coaching staff (and 10 foul limit) wouldn't let him, said he's gonna finish the game-- so he developed abit of fire and started hitting buckets.

Still needs stamina, the weight room and any kind of repeatable low-post move. But if he learns to work through his frustration instead of looking for a phantom Eddie Jordan to swoop in and rescue his dignity with the bench-hook, well then he'll prove a better player. May even hit the weight room a little harder, start working in the pool, get that cardio up.

This team screams its need for a Big Man coach though. John Edwards was our best interior player today.

doc, is Zo Mourning a coach for the Heat?

I like Clifford Ray as a big man coach, (got to speak with him once when Pete Newell's Camp met in HI), but believe he is with Boston.

I agree this team really needs a big man coach. Zo would be a good one IMO.

Zo has some kind of front office gig now with the heat. I'm sure someone else has more details.

This is why I said he was the right pick for Minny even after they picked Rubio... while the experts said it was a stupid mistake for them to pass on Curry.

Blatche - there was no good reason for him to be playing. And frankly, he should have been ejected for the intentional hack on Flynn in the 4th quarter. And what's the story on Heytvelt not getting PT? And If they want to see what this guy Edwards can do, why didn't the involve him in the offense? Whoever's making these decisions for th Wiz... doesn't seem to know what he's doing.

We have to resign Haywood which means AJ has to go this off-season. I'd rather keep Haywood.

If AJ wants to do something big with this team, he better get it done this year. If he only would have taken a more reasonable contract he could have stayed.

This is going to be hard for EG to pull off. Will he be able to more AJ for an expiring ?

Haywood is probably going to be getting offers in the 10M or more range.
