He just looks like a Clipper if you know what I mean.

With what is left on the free agent market & if he came cheap I say bring him back. He could help on the offensive side.

If he signs for the remaining MLE, that is a steal. He could hit the jumper enough to keep the defense honest. If it is a 1 yr deal even better. Even if it is longer I still think it is a steal.

Gooden wouldn't be a steal at any price. I remember vividly the looks that #23 gave to Gooden when his lack of basketball IQ surfaced.

Right now, Gooden would actually help this team tons. He could probably get the starting gig if he showed any sign of better knowledge and average defense. If its for the remaining MLE (~1.9), get it done DF.

Even though I think Gooden is dumb as all hell.......him at 1.2 million would be a good deal.

If we could sign Gooden for around 2 mil, he'd actually be a great pick up for this team. He'd immediately be the teams best defensive rebounder and as has been previously stated, he can hit that jump shot.

Oh, he's pretty dumb and you know that there are games where you are flat out going to have to sit him down. But, if you can sign him to a 1 yr or 1 yr with an option contract. He really needs to be able to focus just so that he can get a better contract next year. The times I saw him play last year with San Antonio, he actually seemed to be playing pretty well.

Actually, we have closer to 3 mil remaining from the MLE FWIW.. MLE is 2.8(and some) and we signed Parker to 2 years at under 6 total, so depending on the increases/decreases of his contract, we're much closer to 3 mil than 2 mil.

If LeBron approves and he comes cheap I wouldn't hate it.

we all know our biggest deficit is the offensive end at the PF position. Drew will suply offense.
Good offense and rebounding for 2 M a year. That's a steal!!.

LOL I forgot how much LBJ did not like Gooden. I think he LB signs off then bring him in.......but is it just me......or does anyone else feel another semi big trade coming up for this team......I just do not see Danny being content with this roster......even if we bring in Barnes.

Do it. We need offense from the PF position, and I can't think of any better FAs out there for that.

Then sign Barnes with the BAE and we have:

Williams/Gibson
Parker/West
James/Barnes
Gooden/Varejao
O'Neal/Ilgauskas

Not bad.

seems as though Ferry should give the reins over to LeBron with all the "if LeBron approves" stuff..

Why waste the money on Gooden.. I mean.. not even considering his ability.. Mike Brown wouldn't play the guy in the 4th quarter.. he just wouldn't

if anything.. sign Drew if Mike Brown approves.. because he's gonna be the guy who has to put Gooden in when Shaq needs to sit because he's just gonna get hacked

i liked the Clippers comment.. but I'm pretty sure the Bucks are quickly becoming the new Clippers

Drew would definitely not start but he would be a decent back up PF.
