Go with the Vikings DST. The Packers have nothing that resembles a running game and Minnisota is probably the best run defense in the league.
Favre will throw a ton and probably get intercepted once or twice and get sacked a few.
Well Minnesota has nothing that resembles a defensive back either so i wouldnt expect much there. Driver, Jones and Jennings will cause havoc on those DB's.
That said i wouldnt be too fond of starting his other choice (TB) either. Sure theyve looked good but they havent exactly faced great offenses either. Plus Steve Smith is always scary. Add to that he did basically nothing (fantasy wise, im not counting getting into peanut brain Halls head) last week. Guys like that dont get shutdown two weeks in a row.
Honestly if you can afford to drop a guy on the end of the bench for a week to pick up a defense thats playing an offensively inept team go for it.

Yeah but Minnisota does have ballhawks. I think they lead the league right now in defensive TD's. They force turnovers and get sacks. Favre is the king of interceptions.
Could be but 2 against Joey Harrington (1 by a defensive lineman), and the other was a 9 yard fumble return in a different game. Im not denying Favre is king of INTS (3 shy of the league record), but this year hes been doing a lot of safe passes, not his usual wild slinging.
But as i said neither of his options really seem appealing this week.

Hasselbeck.
Griese hasnt started in forever, has really only two viable receiving options, his running backs suck, and on top of all that, hes still Brian Griese. Yes i know its the Lions but still.
_CBS7_ wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
Besides the fact that Griese hasn't started in a while, everything else in this post is false.
Hmmm

thanks for the help guys, but unless Welker scores me 35 or so, I lose again.
I was thinking of going w/Bowe, But is was McNabb that killed me.
My only back-up at this point is Matt Schaub. Should I pick up someone like Chad Pennington, Daunte Culpepper, Derek Anderson, Damon Huard, Joey Harrington or Jeff Garcia to start next week?

Id go with Daunte if you can get him. Unless Andre Johnson is back next week. Then again im not sure who the Texans are even playing so that might not help.

The Boston Herald reports Laurence Maroney (groin) is shaping up to be a game-time decision on Monday night.
We never saw Maroney get hurt during last week's game and he was present for the media portion of practice all week. But the Herald reports that some around the team thought Maroney might be downgraded to out. Have Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk, or Kenny Watson on stand by if at all possible. The inactives for Monday night will be posted roughly an hour before game time. Sep. 30 - 9:50 pm et

So looks like it wont be known for sure yet til a couple hours from now.

Yeah I agree the best part is when he says they are active then never step on the field. I know he's done it atleast twice, once with Corey Dillon and once with Tedy Bruschi.
But rotoworld says he's a go.
ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reports Laurence Maroney will start Monday night.
Sammy Morris will come off the bench, and continue to be a threat for goal-line carries. Maroney remains an excellent play in the matchup against a Bengals defense that will likely be without its two top middle linebackers (Ahmad Brooks and Caleb Miller) and was already porous defending the run

Laurence Maroney (groin) will be inactive for Monday night's game.
ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reported earlier this afternoon that Maroney would start, but now has learned that his information was wrong. Sammy Morris will likely split carries with Kevin Faulk. It's uncertain who will start, but Morris makes for a better fantasy play. His tougher running style matches up favorably with a smallish and beat up Bengals defense.
