I had a toss up between the bunny, the knucklehead and the all star. When I did a search I realised that Fats has eliminated the majority of all stars in his exclusion list.

With my Third pick, I select....

Devin Harris

I almost selected him with my pick last round, but decided that I needed a big first. It looks like I'll have to start two PG's but it's worth it for a couple of guys like Deron Williams and Devin Harris. Both guys are pretty tall for PG's so I'm not worried about defense. If a guy is too strong for Harris he won't be for Williams, and if a guy is too fast for Williams, he won't be for Harris. With Biedrins/Williams/Harris my team will be hell on wheels in transition.

I'll put him in 08-09 all star for now....

Good pick. We really thinking about nabbing him even with Nash already at the helm and either play him as the 2 or give him a lot of minutes off of the bench. Would've been a great yang to Nash's yin. Oh well.

I debated between Harris and Rondo. I decided I didn't need the scoring, and would prefer Rondo's defense and rebounding. Definitely a good pick in the 3rd.

Interesting....

I've always heard that the conventional wisdom is that there are far more good wings than PG's and C's. So you should always put a premium on getting a good big man and a good point because there are less of them available. But Fats and Doc have bucked the conventional wisdom and not picked from either position 3 rounds in.....

Having looked over lists of NBA players by position for entirely too much time, I'm beginning to get a little skeptical about the PG part of the above, there are a bunch of good PG's in the league right now. However, the Center part is completely accurate IMO.

This is not a normal fantasy draft, I'm willing to discuss this later. And you can't plan everything ahead others dictates what you can more or less and in my case as the very first pick you dont want to reach much and position plays minor role in comparison to further rounds.

We've promised to address our current lack of defensive players. With the 11th pick in the third round, Chabber and Walt select...

ANDRE IGUODALA, a wing player who's never been in the All-Star game.

Andre hasn't gotten a spot on an All-defensive team yet, but he should've. Every night he guards the opposition's top scorer and over the course of the season he rocked a -7.93 points per 48 minute adjusted +/-. That means that each 48 minutes of action Iggy sees, his opponent's team scores almost 8 points less than they would otherwise. It was the third best in the league, but the best amongst perimeter players.

On offense, he's no slouch either. While he's not a deadeye shooter from 3, he's developed range from there and will likely have an easier time getting those to fall when he's not the #1 offensive option as he has been for a number of seasons now. Inside of the arc he's a super efficient player. To top things off, he's a very good passer and rebounder for a wingman.

We just found Steve Nash's next Shawn Marion.
