Game Thread - Pack vs. Queens

A classic trap game. Big win over San Diego last week, Bears on national TV next week.

We shouldn't have to score a lot to win this game.

Predictions:

Favre - 280 yards, 3 TDs, 1 int
Grant - 40 yards
Morency - 35 yards, 1 TD
Jones and Jennings with similar games, Driver over 100 yards and catches the record breaking TD
Bubba and Martin both with TD catches

Defense is story of the game. Three turnovers, 2 INTs and a fumble recovery.

24-3

The Chiefs knew that Kelly Holcomb couldn't beat them so they ditched their cover 3 defense and just stacked the line in which they negated the Vikings offense.

I expect the Packers to do a lot of the same after looking at the game tapes.

I know everyone thinks this is crazy, but I hope the running game shows us something. It looks like it has progressively gotten better since the Eagles game, and holes were starting to appear last week which a veteran like Morency should be able to hit. When it gets cold and snowy, our passing game is going to take a hit and we will need a running game. The Vikes are great against the run and Wells has a sore hammy, but if we sell the pass enough, it should open up the running game. I am not worried one bit on the defensive side of the ball right now.

EDIT: 24-9 Pack

This is a horrible game for Morency to come back. I don't think he scores a touchdown against the Williams sisters and the Vikes.

I would rather Jackson actually have played than Holcomb, but I just can't see the Vikings being able to score enough to win.

Usual necessities here as always in the big, gay dome. Avoid penalties, avoid turnovers, just don't see how we lose.

i'm going to say 27-13 Green Bay

as long as we shut down Peterson, and Brett Favre keeps making smart decisions this game will be ours.

Jarret Bush has been getting beat a lot this these past games. That should have been a TD.

I can't see the game on TV. Can anyone tell me if that penalty is what caused the interception or would it have happened anyway?

It's just illegal contact before the pass.

I just missed history.

Thanks for giving me those Sopcast addresses. I tried them, but I couldn't get either one to work. This is a bad day for Sopcast to be down. I can't believe Favre's record day isn't on national TV.

I was restarting my computer when Favre threw the TD pass, so I missed hearing Larry McCarren make the call as well. Oh well, I'm sure I'll see the pass a million times later.

I finally got the video to work. Go to http://85.92.128.155/~myp2p/forum/viewt ... =19146&p=2 if anyone else wants instructions. You have to use the VLC player.

I got it to work just in time for the Peterson run :(

I'm really worried about having to face Peterson 2 times per year for the next 10 years. What a bummer that he fell to the Vikings in the draft.
