Hello.
I've got a question regarding trading players recently signed to a contract extension.
Let's say Player is a restricted free agent and signs New Team's offer sheet, which his Old Team chooses to match on July 15. Player cannot be traded by Old Team to any NBA team before December 15.
Now, is it true that Player cannot be traded to New Team (same New Team which had offer sheet matched by Old Team on July 15) for a full year or before subsequent season's end or whatever deadline other than December 15? I read a report somewhere that said the trading deadline rule is different for a team that had their offer sheet matched and the report said something about full year.
Example: Paul Millsap signed Portland's offer sheet but eventually remained in Utah. How soon is he eligible to be traded by Utah to Portland? Dec 15? Or some other date?
I hope I made this clear enough. I couldn't find answer to this problem in Larry Coon FAQ.
Thanks.

Re: Trading a former restricted free agent
Before Dec 15 ... Millsap can't be traded anywhere.
Dec 15 to one year anniversary ... Millsap can only be traded with his permission, and he can't be traded to Portland no matter what. He'll have Base Year limits on such a trade as well.
July 1 ... Base Year limits end
One yr anniv ... His permission is no longer needed, and he can be traded to any team
