Spurs always seem to pick up the right veteran. Mcdyess is the ultimate professional. He will prove more important to winning a championship than most think. If pop can limit his minutes and keep him fresh for the playoffs watch out. Spurs vs Cavs in the finals Spurs in 7.

I will miss him in a Pistons jersey, what a class act and a lot of dedication. You guys will love him.
Thanks Antonio for all the great work in Detroit, now go get that ring. If there's one who deserves it it's McDyess.

To be honest i think McDyess was overpaid but he is a solid addition.

You almost have to overpay bigs these days. Heck it was either McDyess or Big Baby and they both were going to get the MLE. I think we made out with Dice. We don't need another undersized big out there.

Re: McDyess To Sign With Spurs
Hey, Pistons fans here.
We all pretty much assumed Dice was cooked when last season started, and he actually had probably his best season with us. The old man is amazingly smart and efficient, his mid-range shot has been deadly all year. He's been our best player on court numerous times. After a while, it was just ridiculous not to consider him a starter.
What's more, we had a rough season, the atmosphere was as bad as can be (Curry coaching awfully, Iverson,...etc), pretty much all our guys stopped caring at one moment or another. In the middle of this shameful freefall, Dice alone stood up, remaining his usual pro self until the very last game, quietly showing everyone what it means to be an actual grown-up man. That plus the fact that he actually waited for a month in limbo before coming back to Detroit (he was part of the Iverson-Billups trade) while he could have signed for a title contender in the meantime (and earned more money there), needless to say that Antonio has earned more than our respect.
He's a class act. You won't be disappointed.
