My Post from the other thread:
So guys, would you ever welcome Udonis Haslem if the Tyrus deal fails?
I mean Utah signed Millsap to that huge crapload of money to do his thang - so why bring in Tyrus, who's a 4 and isn't much known for playing the 3, to cut Sap's PT when you paid expensive for sap and his services, wouldn't you rather have a veteran who works hard day in day out, to mentor Millsap?
Haslem is a great guy, he's just UNDERSIZED, that's the only flaw, if he's 2 inches taller, he'd do more damage, sadly, he ain't but cmmon, did you see his defense on Dirk back in 06? Up to now, his post defense is tight, his silky 15 foot Jumper is always money, he rebounds, he defends, he plays with heart, passion, and intensity.
The dude works really great and is comitted to the game, he's done plenty of things for Miami, as someone in the MIA forum said, Haslem also shines during 4th quarters, whether it's a putback shot, a 15 foot J when people double team other offensive options or whether it's a defensive play - he's an Ideal PF - ESPECIALLY A BACK-UP ONE, He's the perfect fit for the Jazz behind Millsap IMO if you're desperate to get Boozer out of town.
I rather have a veteran teaching more tricks to Millsap than potential and more potential in Tyrus, Haslem seems a Sloanish guy, and if ever he doesn't work out, he can always be a better trade bait at February when his value is high since he's expiring - what's important is you guys get rid of Booz while still being able to fight while saving money - and this Haslem package ain't a joke at all.
I know, obviously, Tyrus is the better player with better potential, but I just think Haslem is the better FIT, he along with other cap assets that can help our team ain't that bad as you guys think, so calm down, take a deep breath and relax.
P.S Not to mention, as Cali said, Haslem can play the 5, when you need a little help there, wherein Tyrus' secondary position, the 3, is featuring a rotation of Miles, Kirilenko and probably Korver? already. Haslem makes sense and the deal is no joke.

anyone else confused on what team he is with i think the magic but also i think heat adn then also the jazz. Haslem is not a bad fit no, but he provides a very similar skill set to millsap, whereas thomas is a shot blocker which we need an athletic kid which we salivate over and still plenty young where he can develop his offesnive game.

Yeah at least I proved my point, I understand your love, but I've saw some Jazz fans on twitter and some other fan sites and some here treating Haslem like he's a useless plastic bag - which he isn't.
Someone even compared him to Jarron Collins, does that guy even watch the NBA?
If you just get UD, take care of the dude, the guy is just a great guy and a solid baller. Points proven on my previous post, so stop the hate on Haslem.
And if you ever get Tyrus, then I would still wish ya guys the best.

I think we like what haslem is about assuming he doesnt go right back to Florida after this year. We could do a lot worse in some other trades. I understand why he gets trashed though, he doesn't have huge potential to improve his game and be great still he fits what sloan is about but beasley and thomas are just sexier picks. And GL to the mVC w/ the magic as long as it isn't against us.

Re: Poll: Thomas , Beasley or Haslem???
I love Haslem and I think he would be a great fit in the system but I think the idea of having an older under sized PF backing up our already undersized starting PF just doesn't sound too appealing. Thomas brings length, athleticism, youth and potential. I think the potential of Thomas and the exciting plays he brings is what Jazz fans like more with Thomas when compared to Haslem. Haslem would be a good fit no doubt so If that is the only trade that is going to be available then I guess I could live with it.

beasley is the best player, the guy can be a beast.
Thomas it's acceptable for us due to his deffense.
I'm not interested in Haslem.

Re: Poll: Thomas , Beasley or Haslem???
Just thought of sharing this to ya guys.
My guy says his source is stating that Miami indeed has a Haslem / Filler for Boozer proposal on the table, but Utah wants more..and would explore more options regarding a Booz trade.
Another guy that seems to have a legit source as well whom called many transactions before it happened saying Chicago believes Miami has Booz bagged so they have given up.
Now, the latest I've heard is that Miami is both chasing Odom and Booz, and each LA and UTAH wants Beasley in a deal, and you obviously know Riley is a clever GM, he can always outsmart the GM's and squeeze them, just look at the Toronto trade, not only he got rid of Banks, he also squeezed and begged BC to add a future 1st, Jamario Moon and a 4 million TPE..that smart bastard.
Anyways that's all the latest...

That's exactly the rub. No team is going to trade any real assests for Boozer unless they want him long term. I.E., they will have to be willing to pony up 14 mil per just like the Jazz DONT want to do. Any reason you think the other teams will? Because if the answer is no, the Jazz won't be getting back anything close to Thomas nor Beasley. Basically, if Chicago doesn't want him long term, and I don't think they do, you won't be getting Tyrus or anyone else of repute because they don't see Boozer as a long term solution. I.E., you don't give up assets for a rental of Boozer.
Persoanlly, as a Bulls fan, I wouldn't trade for Boozer---at all. Not even Brad Miller. I don't like Boozer and I think he is vastly overrated, overpaid and a disruptive force on any team.

KOC and the Jazz management is the best in the league at getting the best possible deal in any situation IMO. I worry about getting trash but at the end of the day they are going to do what is best for the team and I am sure whatever they do will improve the team. I can't see the Jazz getting forced into a bad deal they are just too smart.

A one-year rental of Tyrus Thomas would be the best deal for the Jazz. If his salary is all the Jazz would have to eat in the deal (Portland or some other team would have to take on another Bulls or Jazz player and add salary). Thomas, Kirilenko, Millsap and Okur should be able to hold down the lion's share of minutes in the frontcourt. This deal works for Chicago without signing Boozer to any extension. They just see what they have in the coming season and move on from there. A healthy Rose, Salmons, Deng, Boozer and Noah lineup would seem to have a real shot in the East.

First and foremost I would begg for you to take Beasley he is a phenominal scorer but he cant pass. you have a point guard that would demand that he is traded by the first half of the season. If the Jazz has patience to have beasley develop by his third year then go ahead
Personally I would love to keep haslem, he does all the tanigibles, rebound, defend and compliments all other big men around him, He shows up everyday and gets you 12 and 10
wtf...
