ON BEHALF OF THE CLIPPERS GM:

The Clippers have no interest in making FA offer to LeBron James. We are instead looking to use our 21 million cap space to add veterans and locker room leaders to our team. In Particular we are looking for:

1- Sign and Trades for a veteran wing ala Ray Allen or trade for Shane Battier.

2- Sign and Trades or trade for a starting caliber C

If interested, send in your offers to absolutevindication@gmail.com

What are the consequences for teams that are going way over the lux tax? (set at 68 mil)

*Real life NBA teams giving up playoff/contending chances just to avoid the lux tax so it is a big deal.

There isn't any actual penalty, but players are supposed to consider that when they vote on the teams at the end of the game.

A few things.
1) I'll get back to you on your offers to resign your own players later on tonight (hopefully).
2) You can start to send in offers for other teams free agents; but there will be no signings for at least a few days (Wednesday at the earliest, probably Wednesday afternoon).
3) I have to be gone this coming Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday so there will be a few days in the middle of free agency where no one will sign.
4) any questions send me an e-mail, I'll try to get back to you ASAP

Also Dallas GM has decided to step down, so since we only have free agency remaining, I will be taking over for Dallas.

I'm looking to move Odom, Carroll, Diop, and Udrih for players with shorter contract lengths. I won't give Odom away for an expiring, I would need more coming back.

Also Al Harrington, Ray Allen, and Marcus Camby are available in a sign and trade.

Woo!

And don't go and let LBJ sign with the Mavs for the MLE...

Also, how are you dealing with the big-name FAs? I recall you saying a while back you may have a group of posters decide. I personally don't really care for this, as it slows it down and I think you'll do a good job anyway. But I just wanted to know, and I'm sure others would like to know as well.

I think we should have some sort of a hardcap like in 2k9.

In real life, no team would have 7-8 max contracts, simply because no owner will pay that and ego's simply won't match. However, since this isn't real, a team can have all max contracts and have virtually no penalty.

I know that I will be considering chemistry as well as exorbirtant spending(especially in smaller markets) when it comes time for voting. I will also be considering health and how well the team is set up not just for one year but for the future as well.

I think most of the GMs will have common sense with how they consider the overall picture so I am not worried in the least with how things should play out.

According to hoopshype.com JR Giddon's has a team option this year so the Bucks have decided to turn it down. This should make JR Giddon's an unrestricted free agent. If we are not able to turn down his team option the Bucks would then like to place Giddons on Waivers. He doesn't cost much (roughly 1.1 million dollars) but with our swing rotation including recent lottery pick Evan Turner, Josh Childress, Francisco Garcia, Chase Budinger and Antoine Wright we feel there aren't any minutes for Giddons. And since he's been in the league for too long to be sent to the D-league we felt it was in his best interest to let look for another opportunity.

We went over this earlier; TOs for rookie-scale contract players have to be decided the year prior, so Giddens' TO has most likely already been picked up.

Over the next 8 days I will not have any access to the internet, and for the next week or so after that I will have very little at best, but I should be able to find a connection to post a write up when it comes to that. I have my roster pretty much set in stone, there is no tinkering that I am looking to do, and I have sent in offers to 12 free agents--so I should be covered on that front as well. This game went really well, and I am happy with the way my team has turned out. If anyone wants to email me any last second offers I will be on tomorrow morning. I am going to set up my roster page so that if I can't get to a computer someone can just copy and paste it to the write-up thread (if it comes before I have internet), but I think that I should have internet back by then. If you guys decide that you want a new Denver GM that is fine, but I would sort of like to see how my team fairs in the voting as I have it now (and after free agency, especially if I get the player I want). I will have internet for sure by the 6th of August, and I should be able to get some intermittantly between the 29th of July and then.

I highly doubt we will be ready for write ups before you get back on the net so...

Hence the portion of the post that stated he would be waived if his option couldn't be turned down at this point.

Still fielding offers for Prince and Earl Clark.

Would package either of them with Maynor to add a good, young PG, preferably on a rookie contract.

yep, noticed that as well.

I wasn't planning on voting as if his career was over but was/am planning on taking into account that every year he seems to get injured.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

If for any reason Lebron chooses not to resign in L.A(in which case i would be terribly disappointed). i am listening to sign and trade offers, i have recieved a few offers all of which are respectable offers, however there is still one offer in particular that is still winning by a landslide.

Keep sending me those offers and remember your team has to be in a market that Lebron would like, and has to still have a supporting cast that will allow him to win an NBA championship after the trade.
