Shareef Abdur-Rahim
I have been looking all over for some info on his contract and cant find it. So I figure I would ask the fans. I know he retired. But I saw some where his contract is still counting against the cap for this season (09-10). My question is this, is his contract still tradeable? Im sure its insurance covered and tax exempt but can his contract still be packaged in a deal? A similar example would be the knicks trying to trade mobely's contract who also retired due to medical reasons. I would love some inut on this. Thanks

It's incorrect.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim's contract is already off the salary cap completely due to medical retirement.

Kingsfan10 has it correct. It's off the books. But thanks to Boston, we're still paying Mikki Moore a nice fat 2 million bucks this season, which is untradeable - but glued to our cap.

Re: Shareef Abdur-Rahim
why are WE still paying Mikki???? I thought once a player was waived, the team that signs him automatically takes on his previous contract

If you sleep on Beno, he can drop 30/10 on you.
