Bostjan Nachbar

Post#1 » by John Locke » Mon Jul 20, 2009 12:31 am

Bostjan Nachbar had a helluva year in Europe and is a tall wing player (a legit big SF).

What do you guys think about trying to get him to solidify our bench?

He can stretch the floor and should be able to play some defense, though he is slow.

havn't seen him play but the probability of getting him is unlikely at best. we're signing daniels to come off the bench as a 2/3 and i think were going to address the pg issue next if anything. doubt there will be enough minutes to go around at the 3spot either way.

Yeah, that's probably true.

I see Marquis Daniels as a 1,2 and 3 player and an ideal player to pair up with Eddie House in the back court.

I feel like Nachbar can add depth to our bench and give us a legit tall wing (Daniels is 6"6, Nachbar is 3 inches taller).

I once saw him play live, against the Bulls and he had a good game.

Does anybody have some defensive statistics on him?

Wouldn't it make more sense to get Nocioni because we have no $$ left to spend outside the LLE

Yeah, Nachbar signed for Efes Pilsen. There were a couple of interviews in Slovenian media with him and he said that the offers from the NBA just weren`t good enough. He also mentioned the teams interested in him and Boston wasn`t one of them...

A few years ago, everyone on this board was interested in him. I watched him play in nba. He was a big question mark. His defense is even liability. His offense won't overcome that weakness.
