interesting. i've always wanted Nash to retire here but 11 million to a 35 year old PG when we're not contending still doesn't make much sense to me. i'm glad he's staying though!

excellent news. Even better I feel is that they signed him for 2 years versus the 3 year extension that was originally going around.

$11 mil a year? Honestly? Worth every penny.

Awesome.

You have the tools Gentry. Let's do this.

Run, run & run some more.

It's cheaper than his last contract, so that's one way to look at it. I am glad he signed with us again! This is great news!

I'm glad he took a bit of a pay cut, even if it wasn't what I was hoping, which was around $8m/year.

They could have at least tried shopping him for young talent + draft picks and made Dragic the starter. I know Dragic isn't as good of a shooter as Nash but he's a better defender and still a solid playmaker but what's done is done I guess...Let's just hope Nash doesn't decline much

That's absolutely a good signing. Nash's actually more valuable to us than to the rest of the league.

Spot On.

We're doomed if we're relying on Amare, Lopez, or Frye to rebound and defend the paint. Trade JRich for Dalembert, or Pavlovic for KT and filler and let's call it an offeseason.

I hope you're kidding... Dragic looks completely lost on defense. He's better than Nash on D, but who isn't? Nash is top 5 worst defenders in the league, but Dragic isn't much better.

Ok honestly after ALL Nash has done for this team, along with his loyalty to the suns, HOW IN THE WORLD can you put Dragic over him? Dragic has potential but honestly he is no where close to starting over someone like Nash.

None the less, great signing and looking at it from the point of view that he took a pay cut doesnt make the 11 mil so bad.

Also correct me if im wrong, and im pulling a what if statement here:
but what if amare does step up his D a bit more... with Yao down he can contest the 5 position in the west night in and night out... no? or should i get off this magical unicorn im riding?

This makes Tony Parker a happy man, he might average 50 against us

He said this in the general board too. I'm sorry, I'm the least judgemental person you'll meet but that post just caused me to lose any credibility in what you have to say. Dragic over Nash? In what aspect of the game will the Suns team benefit as a whole from having Dragic start over Nash?

The answer is none, if you were wondering.

Not when our man Channing Frye comes "fryein" in and just tosses Parker's shot about 15 rows deep into some SA fan's popcorn.

...or maybe I was just dreaming that.

San Antonio is going to be filthy again this year, there isn't much we can do this offseason to stop that from happening.

True. I wouldn't be surprised if the SA FO made even some more minor tweaks before the season's start to become even more efficient which would be ridiculous. I hate them.

The spurs have the best front office in the league... without a doubt.

True lots of teams just straight STACKING up, the team i havent heard too much about after the shaq trade is Clev. they just signed Moon.. Cavs are looking pretty solid too.

If its not the suns winning the trophy, then all i care about is that its not the Spurs or Lakers, shoot i could live with the celtics winning another one just not the just not SA or LA
