I woulda liked him for a cheap alternative to replace Ariza. But now that we got ron ron. I'd rather free up more time for Morrison to grow and see what we got in him. After all, we are paying him 5 + a year.

I've brought this up too. One Bruin T. Ariza, for another, M. Barnes.

Haha. You don't really watch the league you do you. Adam Morrison isn't an nba player. He isn't gonna get minutes. You think he is gonna be in the rotation?

Doubt we could afford him, but we might as well try.

Matt barnes would be a great pickup and add some good depth at that position.

Especially so with Ariza gone.

to all of you who think he wont sign for the min - i doubt hes gonna get any big offers from anywhere else. his best season might have been the WE BELIEVE warriors season, and he only got signed to a min contract with phx the nest season. theres no way a team would even go as high as their mid-level for him

We need another guy other than Kobe or Artest who can "somewhat" contain the LeBrons and Pierces of the world. If Artest goes down it's a wrap for us (same with Ariza this past year).

That's why I wanted Marquis Daniels BADLY and would definitely settle on Barnes.

I don't think the Lakers are on Barnes' radar.
And I don't think Barnes' is on Kupchak's.

I think he could work under Phil, but unfortunately, he's just at the wrong position. If we weren't stuck with Luke and Morrison's contracts, I'm sure he would have been approached to backup Artest.

He'd have to be willing to take the Vet Min. I think some team will give him a piece of their MLE like 2 or 3 mil, or their entire BAE, so he's probably a long long shot to play for LA.

okay, now we're talking. matt barnes is a perfect fit for the triangle. he can handle, shoot and pass and thats all that matters. he is versatile enuff to play behind bryant/in front of sasha or walton and his defense is better than both of those players. remember, when b-diddy was out for 30 games in GS barnes played the point effectively at 6"7. phil loves big ball handlers. besides he's from UCLA. by any means get barnes on that roster. sign and trade for 'ammo's expiring or for sasha and farmar.

That's only if we lose Odom, but if Odom comes back then he's out of the question because I know the Suns will not do a trade with us for anything.

too late, the orlando magic got him with the roughly $1.9 million left from their $5.9 million mid-level exception after signing Bass.
