And... we would have needed to use our cap room to do it, so we would be at nearly 44+10.4 = 54.4M with only 8 players, + 1.8M$ for 4 minimum cap hold (roster sport), so 1M left in cap room.

Do you seriously think that a team of Joe, Smith, Kaman, Crawford, Horford, Evans, Morris and Teague, filled with minimum contracts, would have been better ?
And we would have no right on Marvin, Childress, Bibby, Zaza, (and Jones and West).

I know you want to show that a lineup without Bibby and with Crawford at PG would have been better, but I don't understand the point because we would not have any depth.

But I am sure we need at least one more big presence in order to face Cleveland, Orlando, Boston or Washington in equal conditions.
Orlando just kept Gortat, which gives them an interior gema of Howard, Gortat, Bass and the help of Lewis. They are big, quick, yaoung and good. They could simply destroy us in a direct confrontation.
Boston has Perkins, Garnett, Wallace and will get someone more. May be Glen Davis, Gooden...
Cleveland has Shaq, Ilgauskas, Varejao, Hickson and will probably sign a 5th man. Every position is doubled and has a lot of weight, height and quality. We are no match for them.
Washington has McGee, Haywood, Blatche and the help of Jamison. Young, quick and, if healthy, good and solid players or players with a universe ahead of them.

We need to do something in order to be prepared to go to war with a possibility of beating them in the POs.

You know Curry when he WAS functional and under 300 lb...was crap on the boards...even worse than Marvin, and slow and sloppy and apathetic on D..meaning he may as well be 6-8 because his size has no upside. Even the legendary Oliver Miller actually worked hard on D and the boards...but proved that you can be a skilled player but 40-50 lb overweight is too much to compensate for.

Letting Marvin just walk would be better than Curry who the Knicks didn't want around. I am amazed anyone suggested a deal...even Knick fans would be embarassed to propose it.
CENSORED... No comment.

Yeah, I don't get this. I know you need a center, but Curry is a huge(and I mean HUGE) negative.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Marvin Williams is a talented young small foward. The Hawks could get a hell of a lot more than Eddy Curry. Would Curry even fit on an athletic team like the Hawks?

As a Knicks fan I don't want Curry around simply because he eats cap space in 2010...If you guys really want him he is a pretty adept post scorer but obviously is not the best defender and rebounder...quite abysmal actually...maybe if he actually jumped or put his hands up on defense he would be an awesome center ( ) but not happening...

His desire is questionable but one thing is for sure...his fat behind isn't getting in shape for no reason at all, he becomes a free agent in 2011 and this season and the season after are basically his contract years, (would you take a guy like Curry seriously after 1 year?)...and actually put him on a winning team and his value would baloon if he played even as good as he did in 2007

But seriously the only thing guaranteed with this guy is post scoring...everything else is non-existant or a toss up...I could be a nice car salesman and try and turn sh_t into gold but everybody already knows what he is...although It would be interesting to see the Hawks with a post scorer other than Horford for sure but it will probably won't be Curry unless you guys really want to take a gamble.

lol.

Horford post scoring is about on the same level as curry's rebounding
