Hahah if we could find someone willing to take on Ricky Davis' remaining salary for 09-10, cause Donald Sterling will never buy him out. But then again, we traded Zach Randolph... so anything is possible. I've noticed Ricky Davis had his best contributions last season when he was on floor with veterans (Baron Davis and Marcus Camby). I remember one series of back-to-back possessions when he was on the floor with Taylor/Gordon/Thornton/Jordan that he turned the ball over twice in repeated possessions against the 76ers. It's like he didn't trust Taylor or Gordon to handle the ball... :-?

Both teams benefited from this trade, despite the players all being trash.

i usually dont post on the clipper board but i will now because i really like blake, eg, and dj. so here are my 2 cents.

telfair is a decent backup pointguard and an upgrade over mike taylor. i know he hasnt lived up to the hype outta highschool but hes better then mike taylor and strengthens the pg position just a little bit more, but not much. smith is underrated/undersized but gets the job done. he adds depth to an already really good front court. the move gives depth and a little quality and i think both of these players together are more valuable the qrich. i expect mark madsen to be cut.

Telfair is still fairly young and hopefully he can develop into a starting PG one day. I am happy to get Craig Smith since he seemed to step his game up against us, he will be a nice back up PF. As far as Madsen goes, the sooner the better we cut him, buy him out, what ever.

I also had a new thought about Taylor, since we have Telfair as our back up PG we can play Taylor at the 2. Taylor can play the 2 while Baron plays PG or Collins, they are bigger guards and can guard the oppenents SG. It's just a thought I had.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

LOL my bad. I read it was wrong. At first I though you meant Telfair and Taylor at the same time lol. That'd be interesting. :o

Taylor would definitely be better off playing in the back court with either Davis or Collins. I'm not exactly ready to write him off for good after a bad SL (he wasn't all that last summer league either), but it would have helped to see some kind of improvement in his game.
