How bout the code breaker? Stupid move. And if we're talking unrealistic ones, Paul Birchill's has to be the top.

Seriously, you have arms as big as a tree and the guys he wrestled were over 200 pounds, but the impact of a leg not even kicking but laid across your chest incapacitates you for three seconds.

Really?

Will also give special mention to "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin and his knockout punch.

I'd add the "Garvin Stomp" as well.

Also, Bob Backlund's atomic kneedrop.

Man, you people aren't even throwing actual finishers out there. The People's Elbow was pretty much a signature move for most of the Rock's career and he's never finish off another main eventer with it. The Old School rope walk by Undertaker has never been and never will be even close to his finisher; he's got 4 other moves that are closer to finishers: choke slam, Last Ride, Hell's Gate and the Tombstone, which is his true finisher. If you're going to throw those out, you might as well bust out Stone Cold's Lou Thesz Press and Triple H's high knee or face buster.

The worst finishers ever that actually had some longevity:

5. Jeff Jarrett's Stroke. If you actually did it, it would hurt because you're driving the guys face into the mat. However, the setup for it is just horrible. He kind of holds the guy like you would for a side Russian leg sweep, then leans forward, then back, then falls forward to drive the guys' head into the mat. It's just horrible and so not-believable.

4. R-Truth's Lie Detector. It's just a corkscrew spinning elbow to the face which was used a just a regular move for pretty much his entire career until about a month ago. Not sure why they dropped the scissors kick as his finisher. The scissors kick sucks too but at least he was good at it.

3. Ivan Putski's Polish Hammer. He's just run across the ring and club the guy in the chest with both arms. That's it.

2. Crush's Heart Punch. It's just simply punching a guy in the chest. Cliff Levingston supposes that it could do major damage is actually done, but for the spectacle and show of professional wrestling, it's just dreadful.

1. Crush's head vice, not to be confused with Khali's head vice. When Khali does it, he and his hands are just so massive, it makes sense why the move would be devastating. Crush however; he was big back in the day but not that big, and it always looked like the guy could easily get out of the hold by just turning to the side.

There's some other horrible finishers out there too, but these probably take the cake. The worst finisher compared to it's owner's popularity is probably Hogan's Big Boot into the Leg Drop. Some worthless ones today are the previous mentioned Lie Detector and Stroke, but also Mark Henry's World's Strongest Slam, Cena's STF, Dreamer's DDT and Kozlov's battering ram.

Oh, and whoever said Christian's Unprettier (now called the Killswitch) sucks simply doesn't know what they're talking about. It's an innovative and devastating move.

Every finisher doesn't have to look devastating too be cool. The Peoples Elbow was The Rocks signature move that made all the fans go crazy. Like somebody else said, the finishers of the 80s can not be compared too the finishers of now. In the 80's the Leg Drop was amazing because everybody loved Hogan. And the WWF was more of a live cartoon in those days with the over the top gimmicks, so it wasn't suppose to be realistic.
