Re: Trade!
So say you made this trade and over paid for him. How far can this team go with Amare?

Re: Trade!
Amare is a big question mark at the moment, hence why he couldn't even be traded off to GS for guys that fell out of the rotation.

Re: Trade!
Amare is a whole chain of question marks. He may not re-up.....he has rebuilt knees and a damaged eye. He scores but his D is not good. An issue for GSW was the impact of Amare at MAX $....with the Suns feeling entitled to only get back a lot of budget friendly contracts.
Fell out of the rotation? Uh...no....GSW had a lot of injuries...hardly anyone actuially fell out of the rotation and Wright + Belinnelli were frequent starters when they were injured. Biedrins is GSW's starting C for perhaps the next 10 yr. The Suns..allegedly wanted Curry too. Given all the question maks noted above...even dealing Biedrins for Amare would probably turn out to be a mistake...withoit virtually adding 2-3 rd 1 picks. I think GSW was a lot less interested than the rumors suggest.
The "rumors" were the Sun's wish list...not what GSW was gonna be willing to pay.

Counter Offer:
Pavlovic + Robin Lopez + 2 future 2nds
for
Collison + 2010 Suns pick back
OKC saves money and frees up time for Mullens/Lopez combo behind Kristic.

blah... no reason to give up a potential lottery pick to trade an expiring contract who is the best player in the deal, just don't really see any upside to this for us??
