I like Big Baby. He is going to rot on the bench this year - relative to what he did last 3rd of season - so entertaining trades where you get a serviceable big and the chance to get an upper middle first round draft pick isn't wacky.

If Danny tries to win big and bruises egos in the process so be it.... he is just trying to excel at his job.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Not for $5 million a year.

If Baby is worth 4M/yr, Maxiell is worth 5, IMO.

I like him. We;d have a crazy tough front line with Perk, KG, Sheed, and Maxiell. But I doubt there's much tooth to this deal.

If I remember right, there were whisperings last year that Danny was trying to unload Giddens for a pick. I don't think he was ever that thrilled once he saw firsthand what he had.

FWIW:

Davis in 4 games vs. Detroit last year:

7.3 pts 4.0 rbs 1.8 assists 40.7% FG

Maxiell:

6.3 pts 4.0 rbs 0.3 assists 40.0% FG

Davis is younger and taller. I'd just assume keep him but a draft pick would be nice.

I like Baby over Maxiell but if we got a decent 4th big like Maxiell AND a first rounder in next year's draft, cya Baby

i think they're pretty equal. Davis is taller and bigger but Maxiell is a much better athlete and has better length. Maxiell was better the year before last, but Davis leapfrogged him last year. Both have a lot of potential, so who knows who would be better going forward. Maxiell is overpaid but if BBD had a 4 yr/20 mil deal he'd be overpaid too.

if we could trade BBD for Maxiell and get a 1st to boot, i think it's a no-brainer. i wouldn't be too excited about a straight-up trade.
