Yes I would think so, I do not even have a 2nd rounder, same with a few others.

So are you proposing ABBABABABABA or ABBBABABABAB?

Re: All-Time Draft: Rosters and Trade Talks
I think ABBA is adequate, but ABBBA is an improvement over the current system, so either is alright I guess.

Re: All-Time Draft: Rosters and Trade Talks
^What i was proposing was (for the third time), having a regular snake with ONLY the third round flipped.
1-14, 14-1, 14-1, 14-1, 1-14.
That was your original idea.

Re: All-Time Draft: Rosters and Trade Talks
I'm fine either way, but if we're switching over to the more conventional method, then I'd think ABBBA, or even ABBBB might be the best way to go, at the worst a team would have a pick in each round.
1st pick: #1 overall pick, #28th pick, #42nd pick, 56th pick
Last pick: #14th pick, #15th pick, #29th pick, 43rd pick
Something like that would be decent. I'll admit though, I was brightening up to the idea of having three players before the third round even started, but that's my own selfish reasons haha.

Oh, Pistons#1, you and I are typing this differently. My A's and B's simply represent who picks first in each round. IOW, AB represents 2 rounds, not just 1.
I'm not quite convinced that ABBA evens things out enough, so would everyone be in favor of ABBBABABABAB?

Re: All-Time Draft: Rosters and Trade Talks
^So A means I get the first pick in that round, and B means the 14th pick does? And everyone gets a pick in every round?
If I'm understand that correctly, thats perfect.

Re: All-Time Draft: Rosters and Trade Talks
But isn't that exactly what you just posted? When I say ABBBABABABAB, here's what I mean:
1-14
14-1
14-1
14-1
1-14
14-1
1-14
14-1
1-14
14-1
1-14
14-1
Isn't that what you just asked for? Regular snake with the exception of round 3 being 14-1?

Yeah, so in ABBBA, you'd have the first pick in the first round (done already) and the first pick in the fourth and fifth rounds.

Re: All-Time Draft: Rosters and Trade Talks
I think most would agree pure snake gives too much of an advantage to those picking at the top.
As for ABBABABABABA, it's certainly not terrible, but the way it is now really isn't much different. Is it an advantage to pick #1 in round 4 as opposed to #14? Of course. But I honestly don't think it's that much of a difference. At that point in the draft, we'll have such different views that guys getting picked #43 might have still been there at #56. That's certainly not the case in round 1 or 2, and probably not 3, though. It just gives a TINY edge to the latter half of drafters.

Re: All-Time Draft: Rosters and Trade Talks
I am absolutely fine with the reversal of round 3.
I don't think that overreaches that badly.
No further than that, though.
EDT: Duncan is a worthy first round pick, for sure, but I thought he'd go at least a spot or two lower.

Shouldn't this be a Roster and Trade talks thread? We should have a discussions thread for all the game related discussions and make this a roster thread or rename this thread to Discussion thread and make a new roster thread so we can have all the rosters.

There aren't any trade talks yet, and won't be till at least towards the end of the second round.
I think no more discussion is needed on that subject.
