We already have one PG that stinks from beyond the arc, we don't need another one.

No not interested but I wonder if this is to set up the Celtics/Pacers sign and trade for Daniels.

I hope so... that Ish needs to be finalized asap

meanwhile, im not a big tinsley fan, but we are obviously looking for a true point guard to put on the bench

assuming marbury would be the most talented guy left out there, who else could we pick up for the BAE that would be better than Tinsley?

Honestly I would take Marbury before Tinsley. At least Marbury gives an honest effort on defense unlike Tinsley.

As a Pacer's fan i've seen tinsley play a lot and he's far more valuable than Marb in my eyes.

Always hated Tinsley, I'd take Marbs back as well. Of course I hated Marb's before we signed him too, lol.

I think the timing is good for us though, making space for the Daniels trade to go through

Seems like I'm in a minority on this one but I actually really like Tinsley. He'd be great off the bench. Troubled players often seem to thrive with strong leadership around them and a chance at a ring. Strange how that works...

Like Marbury last year after being relased, Tinsley hasn't played in forever. We know how that worked out.

I'd rather bring Marbury back, since he's an overall better player than Tinsley and has put in more time on the court recently.

I cant decide how I feel about Tinsley. I remember the seasons where he succeeded, like his 04-05 season with averages of 15pts, 6.4 assists, 2 steals, and several seasons averaging over 8 dimes a game. I also remember all the crap hes been associated with over the years. Hes 30 now, and could be humbled, motivated, and ready to put the clown **** behind him.

And how much worse could it be than the Marbury experiment, right? ...

Interesting that in the S&T thread where it talks of Tinsley being part of the deal... people were GUSHING and saying we could trade Rondo to make room for him. And saying Bird would have to be crazy to take our crap for him.

Now he is CUT.

And people aren't sure we would want him at the Min.

I'm not a fan myself... but as a Min pick-up... we could do worse...

If he's in shape he would be a nice pickup at the min. true pass-first pg, can run a team very well. much prefer him to marbury.

ainge would have to be sure he's leaving his baggage in indy, tho.

I'm pretty sure they were talking about Ford, not Tinsley.

Yes. I would sign him over Marbury in a nanosecond. Tinsley's the best veteran point guard available now for Boston. Because Andre Miller can get a better offer elsewhere.

Tinsley's a true point guard. His shortcomings are his lack of durability, he commits a lot of turnovers and isn't a good shooter. He's a decent defender, he's tall and is a play-maker.

A pass-first point guard such as him could really help Boston's second unit. House would really benefit the most from his addition.

he would be a nice back up pg. also big enough to guard 2's. i'd prefer marbury over him though.

Marbury is a better talent. Tinsley isn't pass first - he is can't shoot. At least Marbury shot okay a few years ago.
