If you could add the numbers of games missed for both in regular season and playoffs that would be great.

Also, their numbers when they play together in both regular season and playoffs. Plus the teams record during those games would be great too.

How can that even be true, IIRC McGrady averaged just under 26 points per game his first season in Houston (25.7?). The next season he was injured, and I know for a fact averaged under 25 points per game, the same the following season (24 ppg?) but he was healthy for 06-07. Then just two seasons ago he was semi-healthy, but averaged more in the 20-22 area. Then last season didn't he average under 16 points per game? How would that equate to 25.5 points per game throughout his Rocket career?

Just checked the numbers:

6,869 points/297 games = 23.12 points per game. Even if you don't count last season, his average is at 23.7 points per game, not the 25.5 in the OP.

Yao's is wrong too, there's no possible way he has a Rockets career average of 24 points per game from 04-05 when he's only averaged over 24 points per game once in his career and in that season playing only 48 games.

6,661/317 = 21.0 points per game.

EDIT - McGrady's three point shooting is way off too.

471 - 1462 = .322 from distance not 27% from the field. That's not even possible when the lowest he's shot from three point land as a Rocket was 29%, and the rest over 30%..

It's sad, T-Mac has averaged 59.4 games as a Rocket, and Yao 63.4. Always those damn injuries the one that holds us back. Yao's should drop to 52.8 after next season.

well Tmac and Yao should never have to play 80 games in a season... Tmac because he is "old" and Yao because he is brittle... I know the detractors will spew out a guy getting paid max money should be playing 44 minutes a game for the regular season and 60 minutes a game for the playoffs


but bottom line when it comes to the sports side of basketball... its to win a championship.

cant do that if your guys are burnt out or injured

it is clear cut that RA or the organization should have played the role players on this team more... especially this year... but in years past we have sacrificed the health of Tmac and Yao... to get ahead or maintain playoff spots
