We need a guy who plays cnetre on defense and more like another wing on offense, a high post only guy

Get him cheap for 1 year and tell him to earn a contract like TT and Barnes did...

Or go dirt cheap with a classy vet like Theo Ratliff

I'd go with Gooden and a defensive Vet but if money is tight Gooden would be the way to go. Give him the remainder of the MLE. About 2M i guess. He'll produce, he won't defend.

I can't see a better option really...

If everyone is saying the team needs another Center, why was everyone hoping Shaq would be traded?

I think the Center position will be fine...the team has enough people who can play that position.

Remember, Amare was All-NBA 1st Team in 2007.

Amundson, Lopez, Amare, and Frye can all play that position in the SSOL system.

But again, why was everyone hoping Shaq would be traded?

Because Shaq wanted to get out.... had we ventured into a mediocre season with THE BIG RING SEEKER... he would have turned into THE BIG BELLYACHER.

I dont miss him..... but I haven't spent 2 months hollering GETanFN REBOUND yet either.

Shaq was too expensive for a non-contender.

Shaq did all he could, there's no need for the hate. He didn't fit, that's not his fault, that's Kerr's. Also, we all know we need a center, or someone who can GUARD centers. Really, we don't have to have a 7 footer out there, just someone who can GUARD them man to man without having to double team every night and leave guys open.

Harrison is slow as sh*t and CANNOT spread the floor at all, and the rest of those guys are D-League Talent; they look good in SL, but they suck.

Collison is a VERY good idea, but I don't know if he's available and his contract isn't very friendly (although, we might be able to hypnotize OKC to take Lopez + Pavs + future first for Collison + 2010 first back ;) ) Even though Collison isnt a 7 footer, he is a great defender in every aspect, has great bball iq, can run the floor, and would spread the floor with his nice 14-15ft shot for Amar'e.

Just for fun:

http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=5206924

Could include S+T for Pops instead of Douby and Raptors throw 3 Mill and Phx throws a 2nd pick the Clippers way. Clippers get cheap depth, cash and a 2nd for an expiring contract, and another young pg who could turn out to be the main backup or even play the 2. Raptors can sign Delfino and make it rain from 3! Phoenix gets the best deal of all, a defensive oriented starting C and 2 Guard and get reunited with Marcus Banks!!!

LAC declines with ease, and Phoenix says no too. We're not taking on Banks, he sucks. Instead of Banks, I'd rather pay PMB 7m/2yr and include him in the trade to make it work financially along with Douby, but no way we take on Banks, he's completely useless. Just make it:

Richardson for Wright/George/Douby/POB/Ukic/S&T PMB 7/2/3mil for Richardson/Tucker

With that 3m, we buy out George + POB + cut Douby. Trade Pavs for KT.

Nash/Dragic/Ukic
Wright/Barbosa/Dudley
Hill/Clark/Dudley
Amar'e/Pops/Amundson
Thomas/Pops/Lopez

--- Why not read the answer to the same question in the last place you posted it? I.E. killed the offense, easily exploited with PnR, not a good fit with Shaq and Nash, had gone form "I'm here to fit in and adapt to the team" to "I need touches, I'm the Most Dominant Ever" ad infitum, ad nauseam.

Brendan Haywood; Too bad the Wizards aren't going to trade him even after that injury + having McGee/Blatche. Maybe if we give them JRICH + Pavs for James/Stevenson/Haywood, but I doubt it considering they have a wing rotation of Arenas/Foye/Butler/Miller/Young/Crittenton/McGuire and I can only see Richardson ahead of the last 2 in their depth chart (5th). Maybe a 3 or 4 team trade could work where we take on someone like Banks or something, and that team sends a big to WAS.

I just have this strong feeling that KT will never be a sun again...The Suns dont have their pick because of KT, now Sarver is going to admit a mistake and trade for him? I think hed rather go into the season with Frye at C.

I think so too, but that doesn't mean its right. Plus it's not KT's fault Kerr/Sarver/D'Antoni were idiots.
