The Legion of Doom Presents: Not your average cracka!

Plays defense? Check.
Athletic? Check
Can shoot, handle and pass? Check, Check and Check.
Is not a 6'10" stiff? Check

Kirk "The Wade Stopper" Hinrich, not to be confused with Captain Kirk, Image

Image

Hinrich will bring more nastyness to the backcourt and can easily swing from the 1 to the 2 and cover for Nash to give the offense a different look. You've seen him get under both Wade and Pierces skin in the playoffs. We'd like to see him do the same thing for LOD. Along with Artest and Iggy we believe we have 3 of the best and smartest perimeter defenders in the league and another guy who is willing to put his body on the line for a run at a championship!

For our international pick we will honor countryboi and select Loul Deng. This fills a much needed back-up spot to Granger at the 3 spot.

To address the size issue facing my team I select Brook Lopez as my 7 footer. Surprised he fell so far considering how good he is and will become.
So that makes my starting lineup

Brook Lopez 13.2 ppg 8.1 rpg 1.8 bpg - C
Al Jefferson 23.1 ppg 11.0 rpg 1.7 bpg - PF
Hedo Turkoglu 16.8 ppg 5.3 rpg 4.9 apg - SF
Ben Gordon 20.3 ppg 3.5 rpg 3.4 apg - SG
Gilbert Arenas 13.0 ppg 10 apg (28ppg 6apg 4.6rpg in his last full season)

Bench
Paul Millsap 13.5 ppg 8.4 rpg 1.0 spg 1.0 bpg

Some very solid picks the last 3 or 4. I think you might have broken a few hearts with that one O34 - I assume Brook was on a few peoples radar as a middle of the draft type pick.

I wonder if he had the same look on his face when you made your pick as he did last year when the Bobcats made theirs?

We were considering Brook for our last two picks and knew he wouldn't make it back around to us. Good choice.

My team is not too small, it is the other teams that are too slow....

Biedrins and Harris are both a bit small for their positions but Randolph and Williams are a bit big so it evens out. Barbosa is only going to play 20-25 minutes a game against back-ups, so it's okay if he is not the best defender.

The other typical problem with smallish teams is that they get beat up on the boards. I'm not worried about that at all, Biedrins/Love/Randolph are all fantastic rebounders.

The question is whether Harris gets shot over top of, or Biedrins/Love get bullied in the paint. I agree that rebounding shouldn't be an issue with that group.
