NBA 2009/10 Betting Odds

Post#1 » by Orange_Blooded » Fri Jul 24, 2009 12:57 am

**Let me preface this Post by saying I have no affiliation with any sports betting organizations and this post is not intended to encourage gambling, just inform Suns fans on the "Experts" Opinions on our chances this season**

Okay that being Said, I was looking at the odds on a sports gambling site I occasionally visit and my jaw dropped, according to the experts we have the same chance of winning the title as Charlotte and less of a chance than Washington and New York (Must be that possible Addition of Sessions that put them over the top). I know we have declined but I don't think we're the Bobcats quite yet, I guess we'll see. I'll put 10 bucks on us like I always do with the suns, d'backs and cards(almost paid off HUGE last year).

Here are their full odds, also put up the MVP and ROY odds, funny to see Shaq & Arenas ahead of Amare & Nash if you ask me.

I still dont think we are in Charlotte, NYK territory yet, I'm fine with our odds just not with them being where they are I guess.

Also I know we are better than Toronto, Philly(especially w/o miller) and Washingotn but I can see the Odds-makers not thinking so.

Yeah, cant believe they think we're in line with Philly and Toronto, that's disgraceful. Although, I do think a healthy Arenas puts Washington way ahead of us (their squad can score better than us with all the scorers they have, but they have a much worse defensive squad than we do, and that's saying something).

There's a lot of eyebrow raisers if you ask me.

How is houston in contention when they lost artest and ming?

New york has the same odds as Dallas and New Orleans?

Detroit is above Dallas, New orleans, Philly and Us?

MVP looks like some sure money
place equal amount on LeBron and Kobe, or 65% on LeBron and 35% on Kobe since LeBron is more likely

you guys have to remember its not that phoenix is as bad as toronto, but when you factor in how much easier it would be for toronto to get that far compared to phx is evens out.

Can the Clips finish 3rd in the Pacific this year? Look at their roster, they have talent...

Wait...81 bucks to win the championship? So if I put down 10 bucks, I'd get 810 back?

Phoenix is a 5 or 6 seed in the West right now. I'll take that chance.

You might be right. I mean ur reasoning in principle is right. But I actually think that right now the Eatern Conference is tougher to win. In the West, apart from the Lakers everyone else is pretty much at the same level. In the East Orlando, Boston and Cleveland are a big step ahead of the rest of the competition.

I'm putting 10k on the suns to win. If I happens, parties on me guys.

Yeah right. Even if we were good enough to win the championship, SSOL days, Stern would find a way to screw us over.

It's a pointless bet to make.

It would be hard to bet on the enemy to win it all lol.
But really, I would probably bet on the Spurs too, but Manu has been getting injured alot...

If the spurs are healthy(big if) and do their regular season roller coaster that ALWAYS ends on the upside for them, something as random as a broken face or crazy suspension would be the only thing that would keep them from winning it all...

I'd bet on SA.

If they win, at least you get money out of it.

If they lose and you lose money, think of it as paying for them to lose, which I would GLADLY do.

If I could ensure that the Lakers would never make the Finals again, I'd pay all the money I have in the bank. Seriously.

Toronto has an easier path to actually making the playoffs so I see your point, but actually advancing to the finals and winning will be much tougher for them.
