My Ideal Rotation:
C- a long, multi-skilled big man who has range
F- a hard nosed forward who goes inside and out
F- an all out defensive machine on the wing who's got your back
G- a hall of fame superstar who can score anytime you call on him
G- a well respected veteran who has all the smarts, patience, and talent
Oh wait. LAKERS just got all that covered this season. Oh man oh man:
C- Gasol
F- Odom
F- Artest
G- Kobe
G- Fisher
I mean, seriously. Why is everyone even playing the 2009-2010 season? Why not save time and just hand the Lakers another ring.

Re: Your ideal rotation
Because the Sun is setting! How many good years do Nash and HIll have left? Trade for Camby and sign Brevin Knight!!!
Realistically though, why not start Clark and see what hes made of? Lou off the bench is perfect as a change of tempo guy, RoLo and Frye can backup the 4-5 as well, and i try to move J-Rich to the 3 when the matchups call for it or you need some 3 point bombers, which gives Barbosa more time at the 2 instead of 1 where he belongs:
Nash 35/ Dragic 8/ Barbosa 5
J-Rich 25/ Barbosa 23
Hill 30/ Clark 8/ J-Rich 5/ Dudley 5
Clark 20/ Amare 15/ Lou 13
Amare 20/ Frye 15/ RoLo 13
If RoLo or Frye show they deserve to start, then Clark goes to the bench to back up the 3-4 and Amare shifts to 4. If Clark shows he doesnt deserve to start then Dudley and Lou take his time. 7th seed here we come!

Re: Your ideal rotation
Starters 12:00 1st
Nash
Richardson
Hill
Stoudemire
Amundson -> interior toughness and rebounding set the tone early and emphasize pushing the ball
8:00 Frye for Amundson
Nash
Richardson
Hill
Stoudemire
Frye -> the smooth lineup
6:00 Barbosa/ Dudley/ Lopez for Richardson/ Hill/ Amare
Nash
Barbosa
Dudley
Frye
Lopez -> Nash gets the young guys settled in
4:00 Dragic/ Amare for Nash/ Frye
Dragic
Barbosa
Dudley
Stoudemire
Lopez -> young guys play out the quarter, good exerience in closing out, Amare's time as 'the man'
12:00 2nd
Dragic
Barbosa
Richardson
Stoudemire
Amundson
9:00 Clarke/ Frye for Amare/ Amundson
Dragic
Barbosa
Richardson
Clarke
Frye
7:00 Nash/ Hill for Dragic/ Barbosa
Nash
Richardson
Hill
Clarke
Frye
5:00 Amare for Frye
Nash
Richardson
Hill
Clarke
Stoudemire
4:00 Barbosa for Clarke
Nash
Barbosa
Richardson
Hill
Stoudemire <- best five to close out the half/ game
0:00
Repeat for 2nd half
Amare 36
Richardson 36*
Nash 30
Barbosa 30
Hill 26
Dragic 18
Frye 16
Amundson 14
Lopez 12
Dudley 12*
Clarke 10
* 36mpg early in the season is enough for JRich to inflate his stats to the point where he will have some trade value - hopefully then we can trade him for an expiring leading to more minutes for Dudley.
# Frye becomes the Amare foul trouble insurance and would frequently see more than his 16mpg.
Interestingly, there is almost a parallel between salary and mpg.

You want Amare to play 42 minutes a game??? Amare and Lou need less minutes and Clark needs more if you are trying to win... as you put it.

Fisher sucks and Odom is still not resigned. And I'm not convinced Artest makes them better, if anything it's a threat to team chemistry. We'll see. Time will tell. But I surely hope the Fakers implode thanks to Artest.
