How much would you pay Boozer next year?

There is all kinds of talk on both side of this issue, but lets assume Boozer and the front office smooth things out and Boozer stays, does well, and the Jazz do well this year. How much would you pay Boozer in in next contract, 6 mil, 7 mil.... 9-10 mil 10-12 mil, more? And of course their is how many years would you give him, and other things, or would you?

With the looming lux tax, Jazz would definitely have to move some other contracts to re-sign Booz, if he stopped being an ****, came back and played a full season to his true potential, i'd give him 10-12

Why would anyone want Loozer on this team? He will likely get 8-10 million on open market bc he does one thing well which is he is a very good post up player. He does many things poorly such as no defense, bad passer, has attitude problem, is injury prone, and basically doesnt want to be here. I would not resign him for 1 million per year. If Jazz let him start season for Jazz then Jazz are tanking the season.

NOT HARSH AT ALL. Any team that Boozer joins will be a worse by having him play on that team. You can only survive Boozers lack of defense if you have a superstar defensive center to cover for his azz. I would have rather had Boozer left for nothin in free agency than have him be a disruption on the team at the beggining of the year. Boozer is about Boozer simple as that. He had great games against the Jazz before he joined the Jazz bc he wanted big money from the Jazz. He is talking about how great it is to join the Heat and Bulls when he opted in to stay with Jazz because he wants the money. Money is the only thing he cares about. Winning means little to him. Boozer is the biggest joke in the league and when he is out of here, the Jazz will be better by subtraction.

Okay I'm glad i am not the only one who feels this way about Boozer. I lost all respect for the dude when he back stabbed The Cavaliers. I figure it was a one time thing or trumped up by his agent. He has spent the last 5 off seasons in Miami, this is the first time I've heard him "gush" over it. Call me old fashion but when you're still with a company which essentially it is, show some loyalty. The Jazz were super generous when they pried him from Cleveland.

Considering he could still possibly play for you guys, I would show the city some respect. I guess his comments can be chalked up to poor timing, that's all. Btw I don't hate the guy I just don't respect him for the "bolded" statements above:

he wont re-sign for us unless he desperately had to, which I doubt with all those teams having cap next year. We need to trade him now for a need, preferably someone who can actually play defense and is starting quality.

It depends on your perspective. Cleveland offered him $39 million over 6 years, hence that WAS generous of Utah.

Because that was the most Cleveland could offer and still stay under the cap. Cleveland knew they were getting a 20/10 PF on a sweetheart deal - thats the whole reason they declined the option in the first place - so they could lock him up long term at a below market value contract.
