Hawks and Rockets

Post#1 » by wadero » Fri Jul 24, 2009 2:40 pm

Just waanted to get your thougth on this.
Rockets send Battier and B Cook to Hawks for Josh Smith.

Battier helps you guys with Leadership and Def and If you lose Marvin. Cook helps your Cap Space next year. Josh Helps the Rockets rebuild and you get out of his contract. What do you think?

I don't think Atlanta ever actively wanted to move Josh Smith. I think they might not be totally opposed to moving him for the right trade. Battier is actually my favorite player, and he does way more than what his stats show, but we would need Battier plus a much more formidable PF or Center in a Battier for Smith trade.

Based on what information? Chad Ford does not count as a reliable source.

If the Hawks wanted to move Smith, I think they could get an offer better than Battier and some scrub.

Wow. We have seen some absurdly unbalanced trade proposals for Josh. But this one takes the cake.

Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.
