Which Center can we get?

Post#1 » by Gorilla Warfare » Fri Jul 24, 2009 8:10 pm

Ok people let's face it, the Suns only need a proven starting Center and our lineup will be good, so this is the thread to hopefully get rid of all the other player threads. Which CENTER do you think we can get and why do you want him on our team?

I'll go with Ryan Hollins or Petro as far as free agents go.

There's not a lot of options but I like the idea of Ryan Hollins

Shaq! he would be a great option to default to when SSOL isnt effective. While he isnt the best defender, there isnt a player in the league that will try to post him up and guards will always think twice to slash to the paint. He will also help us turn our rebounding woes around

I'm pretty sure with Shaq and Amare we will lead the league with pts in the paint.

As far as free agents go there are no proven starting centers, except LaFrentz, and he is not even a proven center, he just starts.

You know what Frank, thanks for opening my eyes, I was getting LaFrentz mixed up with Joel Przybilla, that's my bad man, can't get my white people straight.

We do need to make a play to pick up Joel "The Vanilla Gorilla" Przybilla.

He is a BEAST and would be a great starting C for us.

or Frye can play as center or we really nead a better option than Robin Lopez.

don't get me wrong, Lopez is a good prospect but the guy can't manage the fouls.

Well, Petro just had a good game with french team in a friendly game vs Austria^^ before starting European Championship qualifiers.

12 pts, 8 rebds, 5/8 fg in 14 minutes. But it's just Austria, a very very weak team. Noah has been good too but he can't stay with the team and must go back to Chicago.

I shudder at the thought of Kerr trying to deal with Portland. They have something we want....not a good way to start the conversation/negotiation. I really can't see any realistic offer we can make.... they are securing Miller, have Roy... and the rest of their line up looks complete, including Pryzb as a back up /starter. Oden has not been stable enough and they are not that deep on the front line.

I say fat chance for the V G

Next ???

Theo Ratliff could, should, would have been nice, and then again what else do you expect from our front office.

At this point I think we were better off keeping Wallace. We don't have anything to show for the Shaq trade. This is bad.

We're also lacking a defensive specialist at the 2 spot.
