top to bottom EPL is the best ever since the influx of foreign investments on the league, before that it was between la liga and serie A. Liga still going strong but Serie A still has some recovery to do from scandals and financial problems.

The Premiership, but La Liga is a close second.

Yeah I was going to say the same.

And the English Primer League is by far the most well balanced and played great, yes 4 clubs dominate but there are like 8 other clubs that are really close to jumping in to the top 4 unlike in the La Liga you can't find that and only 2 clubs dominate there, but also every year for like the past 5 year in a row there have been 3 English clubs in the final 4 in the Champions League.

This is in order....

• English Primer League
• La Liga
• Bundesliga
• Serie A
• Ligue 1

Bundesliga
Ligue 1
Liga Sagres (Portugal)

EPL
Serie A-
La Liga

Soon the circle will roll again and Serie A will be on top as before. Spain has only 2 elite teams, Barca and Real, the others aren't elite.

Bundesliga has been virtually low profile since Bayern started faltering.

I prefer the Bundesliga. I'm likely the only one.

Preference is one thing, but I don't think you could say they are better talent wise.

EPL is still at the top, but Spain has IMO the best club, Barcelona and Real who is probably number 2, but we'll wait and see.

Top to bottom though, Serie A is better than La Liga.

Although no one can claim that more money automatically leads to more success, I do think it's an interesting indicator.

as of right now, premier league has a better organization, wounderful stadiums, great teams. talking about soccer, well, i'd rather watch la liga if i had to choose. most of the epl teams aren't fancy, they all play at the same pace, using always the same way to play soccer...i'm not saying the cannot adapt to the opponents which has already been proved (they can face up other euro teams and win easily..), but the way the play is quite dull to me: lots of passes, using the wings to cross the ball and score...they lack of imagination even if the way the play is productive.

spanish football is all about creativity and fantasy, technique...from an athletic-tactic standpoint most of the teams are lackadaisical.

i'm pretty sure that serie A would be the best league in the world if they had their stadiums renewed ...but it's a long way to go and i seriously doubt this would happen soon.

i mean, the epl has reached the peak ...la liga apart from barcellona and real is really poor, italy hzas got the best potential imho, in terms of people who follow soccer (who are the 100% of population...), teams (at least 5-6 teams able to compete at the top if only they had a structured organization to blossom in...)

anyway, i don't care too much about this kind of comparison, i root for napoli and i stick with serie A.

La Liga by far.

English teams from 6th to bottom are really bad. Also the style of playing is very intense, but not technichal, there is no actual soccer there, only lots of long balls and running, aside of Arsenal.

Spanish teams are softer, their defense most of the times is hilarious, but the passing style is nice for the viewer. Madrid and Barcelona can compete with the Big Four of EPL, but every year a new contender appears, Deportivo and Villarreal made the semifinals at Champions League a few seasons ago, Valencia made two finals in a row, Sevilla just won 2 UEFA Cups... Also last year´s Barça played at a level any English team never did.

And now, since this summer, most of the stars plays at La Liga, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaká, Benzema, Van Nistelrooy, Casillas, Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Ibrahimovic, Henry, Alves, Agüero, Forlán, Silva, Villa, Kanoute... what do you have in Italy? Decadents Totti and Del Piero, Diego and Etoo. EPL? Rooney, Drogba, Torres, Gerrard, Fabregas, Tevez, Robinho, Essien, Terry, Arshavin, Van Persie... not the same level, as you can see...

There was a really interesting documentation on english fans flying to Germany to watch second divison games in St.Pauli or something. The flight, hotel, tickets and other stuff combined is cheaper than watching ManU in Old Trafford and, as they put it, they'll see "real men play real soccer" here.

I might be pretty biased, but I really like the Bundesliga. The 50+1 rule is still in place, preventing the influence of big money investors. The clubs are still owned by the fans, which have voice in league decisions. Tickets are still relatively cheap, stadiums are full, the games haven't become "events" like in England.
German teams have been rather free from scandals and irresponsible behavior and with a few exceptions, have never spent money like drunken sailors out in town. All this makes the Bundesliga (and the League 1, to a certain degree) really likable... at least to me.

From a talent point of view, the Premiere League is obviously the best in Europe, but that mostly due to the big four. After that, I don't see a big gap to other teams. I don't know the spanish or italian leagues, but I'd say that the teams ranked 8th - 18th in the Bundesliga are on par with the Premiere League, while spending way less money. German teams have always done well in the InterToto and UEFA Cups, which kinda supports that statement.

Due to that, the Bundesliga is very weak at the top. There's no team next to the Bayern, and even they can't really compete with the powerhouses of Spain or England. The Champions League is kinda boring, but makes a exciting domestic league. We have seen seven different Meister in the Bundesliga (I'm counting Leverkusen and Schalke... hey Meister der Herzen is also a title. 5 if you're nitpicking) in this decade, which is a greater variety than any other league in Europe can offer.

So in conclusion, the Bundesliga is a nice league to follow if you don't care for big names and spectacular transfers. It's really, really boring from the glamour perspective, with rock solid, honest, hardworking down to the earth clubs. And 95% (I'd guess) of the German fans like it that way... when David Beckham was about to get transfered to Madrid, the Bayern Boss was asked why they hadn't get into the talks. His answer: We want soccer players, not Spice Girls Husbands here.

The ones in bold are nowhere near the players I named for La Liga. Javier (not Diego) Pastore nowadays is nobody. And personally most of the rest are also a little below that level, except Etoo, Diego, Maicon and Buffon, but this personally.
