Alderson doing pretty well too, now that he's in Connecticut. 2-0 1.89 ERA, 21-1 K to BB ratio in 19 innings.

Bumgarner, at this pace, makes the team out of ST next year.

I feel bad for Guzman. The guy is batting 380 in Fresno and he's going to be stuck down there the whole season.

Villalona goes 2-4 with 4 Rbi's and his 8th homer of the season.

Posey with 8 homers in San Jose as well. Hopefully he'll have some pop when he gets to the bigs.

Thomas Neal hit his 10th homer tonight. I think it's time for some promotions with Neal and Posey.

Neal could get a promotion soon but I doubt Posey will. Reports are that he is further behind than expected as far as his catching ability goes. As far as hitting, he would already be in AA by now. I think there is a possibility he will go up after the all-star break but you may see him spend the entire season in San Jose too (which wouldnt be the end of the world).

It's best to have Posey work on his catching ability with Decker. His bat isn't really being challenged in San Jose anymore.

Giants call-up C Buster Posey to AAA Fresno. Posey was hitting .316/.421/.521 with 12 HR and 57 RBI for A San Jose.

Posey went 0-4 in his first game in AAA yesterday.

Some new guys to keep track of:

Rafael Rodriguez (AZL league)
Chris Dominguez (Short Season A - Salem Kaiser)

Rodriguez is definitely someone to watch.

Top 3 international prospect when he signed for the Giants.

Yeah, I'm excited about Rodriguez too. Especially with the success of Villalona

Bumgarner goes 7, gives up one. 4ks against no BBs and 3Hs. Also hits a grand slam for his first pro home run.

Does the k rate worry anyone? It's gone down every time he's moved up.

Maybe he's working on his secondary pitches? Who knows but if he was throwing his strongest pitches, I would be a bit. He K'd 10 in his first game then has slipped in terms of the rate.

I think Alderson has pretty much stayed the same, if I remember his stats correctly. He's not a big K guy though.

MadBum was ejected from the game today. Is this the first time he had been tossed before?
