Not for the last couple years they haven't been, and I don't see them being as "tough" as this article mentions, Ginobli hasn't proven that he can stay healthy as of late, and Jefferson is not a guy that's going to carry you anywhere really, he's decent, but he's not a guy that can create his own shot, nor shoots all that well. SA should have gotten some shooters, instead they got older, slower, and not as good on defense.

So do Spurs fans care at all about losing Oberto? I thought he played a lot of minutes for you guys.

I like Oberto he is a very intelligent player and was fun to watch with Ginobili but his recent heart conditions were a concern. I would rather have Ratliff in the middle blocking a shot every once in a while than Oberto with a bum ticker.

Last year RJ went to line 512 times the year before 679. Compared to Artest with 196 and 212. The main reason the spurs got him was because he could create his own shot and get to the line. He is going to provide added offense when TD and TP need a breather. The guy also shot 44% and averaged almost 19.6 ppg.

I'll take my chances with a guy like that any day...as long as he doesn't stare at me while I'm in the shower.
