I Just Can't Help But Dream of What Could Have Been

If the Grizzlies had drafted Tyreke, they probably would have the best backcourt in the league for the next 5-10 years.

Conley/Mayo/Tyreke

Split up the two positions (96 minutes available total) so they get 32 minutes a piece. Wow. That would just be an exciting, dynamic backcourt to watch!

And the Grizzlies still would have had Gasol/Haddadi to cover at C. Haddadi looked better than Hasheem in Summer League I thought.

Well, I hope Thabeet works out. If he starts blocking shots I suppose he will.

I like Tyreke Evans and all, but I don't think it would have worked out.

I don't know how many caught the article on CNNSI where OJay was working on his point guard skills with assistant coaches Johnny Davis and Henry Bibby in LA this summer. I do hope for the change soon but they might have opted for Harden over Evans if they had that move in mind. Plus keeping Thabeet out of Oklahoma City is a very good thing as they would have been very scary with him in that lineup.
