What is the ideal trade for Boozer?

WHat are the Jazz looking for when and if they trade Boozer? For instance, two young players plus a vet, ending contracts, front line help, and all star in return, and or multiple picks?

And what teams have made offers to the Jazz and what did they offer?

From all indications I think they are waiting on a proven veteran (borderline all star), an all star caliber player, nice young talent with the possibility of becoming an all star, or possibly a couple of proven work horses (ala Battier and Landry). I don't think when push comes to shove that anyone feels Boozer is worth any of those scenarios right now, but if he plays healthy a lot of teams may be changing their tunes. Otherwise they will just keep Boozer around and possibly let him walk at the end of the season.

The offers we've heard about:

Haslem and Wright for Boozer
Tyrus Thomas (and cap space) for Boozer
Battier and Landry for Boozer

First one needs a lot more incentive for the Jazz to pull the trigger.
Second one is not as bad, but would also require more from the Bulls.
Third one, I' d absolutely do it. Not sure if the Rockets would though.

I'm not exactly sure what the Jazz would want. All of those items you've mentioned, if the Jazz feel enough value is coming back, could do the trick.

The ideal trade for Boozer was $12.7 million. If Boozer had opted out, that full amount came off the Jazz payroll. Carlos took that trade off the table so now whatever deal maximizes the amount of cash savings to the Jazz this year will be the perfect trade for the Miller family.

LIke many in the organization and others who have reported on this story with quotes from this organization, they don't care so much about cap space as they do quality.

- "Quality" wise, I want Kirk Hinrich or Tyrus Thomas (I really don't imagine Beasley in a Jaazz uni)
- A healthy, committed Boozer, is an All-Star player, but Jazz have him only for one season now... if the deal is not a sign and trade, no one is going to give us talent for more than one year (i.e. Tyrus Thomas)
- It would be hard for KOC to get quality player(s) AND money relief... it's one or the other methinks... if he get both, many Jazz fans might have to start giving the man much more credit thet they actually do...

Going along with another thread, I believe the ideal trade that the Jazz could do would be Boozer and C.J. Miles for Michael Beasley, Udonis Haslem, and the Heat's trade exception. The trade works on ESPN.com's Trade Machine and would be really good for both teams. I believe that this trade could happen if the Heat end up signing Lamar Odom, which may be the case. The addition of Odom would make Beasley expendable and he (Beasley) would be the piece of the trade that would get the Jazz listening. Also, the Heat would get back a young and developing player in C.J. Miles that could come of the bench as the back up Small Forward behind Lamar Odom. Also, Haslem and the cap space that the Jazz would get from the Heat's trade exception would help Utah out both financially and on the court because Haslem would be the perfect back up PF to bring off the bench behind Millsap. Depth Chart for both teams:

PG: Deron Williams, Ronnie Price, Eric Maynor
SG: Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, Ronnie Price
SF: Michael Beasley/Andrei Kirilenko
PF: Paul Millsap, Udonis Haslem, Goran Suton

David Lee with the Knicks or Beasley from Miami. I doubt MIA would trade Beasley for Boozer.

I like the Boozer for Nick Collison . The jazz save money but would have 2 solid Pf in Millsap and Collison. Then jazz then could draft Turner with the Knicks pick.
