I don't think they could get him without making a sizeable commitment in terms of years and money. Not that he'd require the full MLE but i'd think he has to be seeking at least 3 years and 9 million after last year and his short stint as a starter doesn't hurt his case.

16.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 1.7 APG on 48/40/64% shooting with less then a turnover per game in 11 starts at 33+ minutes during which time the Rockets went 6-5.

I wouldn't want to make such a commitment to him at this point as he gives me a Ricky Davis type vibe.
