On the morning of Sunday July 5, Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi approached Roy Halladay at his locker in the visiting clubhouse at Yankee Stadium. He wanted to know his pitcher's intentions for the future.
"I told him I wanted to wait and see," Halladay said inside the Jays clubhouse last night after his post-game news conference.
Wait and see?
"See where we were after the 2010 season, see what is going on here with this team," Halladay said. "If we had a good chance to win here or whether I would have a better chance in free agency. I don't like the term testing the free agent waters."
Two days later, the Internet almost broke as Ricciardi told FOX Sports that Halladay could be dealt before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.
