Nice footage. Thanks

There wasn't anything Olajuwon couldn't do on the basketball court. Truly a one of a kind athlete.

Looking at that old footage reminded me of a lot of old role players. Remember Greg "Cadillac" Anderson? Unless I'm mistaken, that's him at the beginning fouling dream.

I think he went to prison in the 90s for selling drugs.

Smart guy.

If you recall.. not long before he officially recorded his first triple double... he also missed another one by 1 assist.

Quad, March 29, 1990
18 points 16 rebounds 10 assists 11 blocks

Almost... March 3, 1990
29 points 18 rebounds 9 assists 11 blocks

"Olajuwon was originally credited a quadruple-double as shown by the box score, however, the NBA stripped Olajuwon of one assist after reviewing the game tape."

I guess he was pissed that they took it away... just like they gave his MVP to Robinson that one year.

Another notable feat dominated by Hakeem

Five-by-five is defined as an individual performance in which a player accumulates at least five in all five statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks) in a single game.

The saddest pat of it is, Rox fans at the time thought it was NORMAL. We were used to it. In the end, it sucked worse to be us - because we were bi^^hing about "why didn't he do more?"'. Now we're the guys at the party taking about how "it used to be".

So let that be a lesson to you.

Then those were some truly ungrateful fans... I've never wanted more from Hakeem, 2 championships is far more than enough... Look at all the teams with Hall of Fame players that failed to capture a championship. At least when we talk about our past we can say we were successful.

Is it safe to assume that you aren't just talking about Hakeem there?

KG in Minnesota comes to mind.
Morey 2020.
