So I was reading an article about how Rudy Gay is impressing Team USA coaches lately and I wanted to get opinions on him for next year.

I've said that I'd love it if the Wolves signed Marvin Williams next year, but Gay has been mentioned as a possibility as well.

Which of the two would you rather try to acquire in 2010? Gay is restricted so obviously Memphis could match, but he's a better go-to scorer, a bit younger, and might have more upside. Williams is unrestricted if he signs his QO this year, he turns the ball over less, is a bit more efficient, and he rebounds and defends better, but he's had a bit of back trouble.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I would pay near max dollars -- or basically a starting salary of everything we'll have under the cap next year == for a Gay-Love duo. As a matter of fact, I hope we don't pick up Brewer's option just so we can give Gay more money.

I almost forgot about that crucial intangible. I could see extra dollars in it for the team and the aforementioned duo from sponsors such as Lavender Magazine, the producers of Bruno, and Spongebob Squarepants.

Wow I just realized if we drafted Favors and signed Gay -- we could put out a front line of ....

Gay-Love-Favors.

This could not be topped.
