I would prefer not to see Pruitt go for Daniels.
If you look at Pruitt's college stats -
http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player ... rt3=fg_pctAs an 18 year old freshman @ USC, during conference play, he shot 48.9% from long range on about 5 attempts per game. This was college and all, but that is still impressive.
As a 19 year old sophomore his shooting declined slightly as he was called on to play a slight bit of PG.
And a 20 year old he was called on to take over the PG position and his shooting suffered.
Especially since he is purportedly our best practice shooter and appears to have decent mechanics, my bet is he could step in next season and drain the trey if called on to be a SG rather than a PG. Unlike Eddie House, he has the size and athleticism to effectively guard many SGs, and had shown great defensive potential for us last season.
Players who can stroke the trey, defend, and are relatively unselfish are valuable role players. And then you have to take into account that he could possibly still develop into a decent PG. We'd have him at a minimum salary, if easily avoidable I hate to see him go.
