NYK/HOU/CHAR

Post#1 » by frank1982 » Mon Jul 27, 2009 6:11 pm

NYK
in: G Tracy McGrady; PF Luis Scola
out: C Eddy Curry; PF David Lee (S&T); PF Jared Jefferies; 1st rd pick

Char
in: C Eddy Curry; PF David Lee (S&T); 1st rd pick
out: C Emeka Okafor; G/F Boris Diaw

Hou
in: C/PF Emeka Okafor; G/F Boris Diaw; F Jared Jefferies
out: G Tracy McGrady; PF Luis Scola

NYK
Dump payroll, get a good replacement at PF for Lee with Scola. McGrady in his final year has something to prove and could come back and play well...if not insurance will pay half his contract and you dump salary for 10' season

Char
Dump a ton of payroll and get a dynamic player in David lee. Curry and Lee should be able to step right into Brown's system having plyed for him before.

Hou
they get a stop gap C who happens to be a hometown boy. when Yao comes back okafor can slide over to the 4 and be that enforcer type next to yao. Diaw is listed as a 4 and has been playing there but he originally came into the league as a G/F and in adelman's system he can be that dynamic point forward who can help initiate the offense.

Was about to explode from just seeing "NYK" and "Eddy Curry", but then noticed he wasn't going to us.

Thus, it goes from horrible to just bad. Emeka has a terrible contract. Diaw has a nasty contract. We're not into 5 year "stopgaps". No thanks.

also, please note that Luis Scola is not a "throw-in" and he won't be included in a deal just to move McGrady when we're not exactly getting any relief back. And I say this as a fan of Okafor.

Great Trade Idea!!!! Call Morey, I'm sure he could use a good laugh!!! New York media and fans are just delusional to think that ANYONE ANYWHERE would want ANYTHING to do with Curry and Jefferies who are AWFUL players with AWFUL contracts.

You do remember that Curry and Jeffries didn't exactly love playing for Brown in NY, right?

NOTE: Okafor may be going to NO for Chandler.

Jove9,
Why must you derail a grand fantasy w/mere facts? :)

At least we went a week w/out another McGrady trade.

Why would the Rockets destroy their future financial flexibility for an undersized center????
